*part rant/rambling* Ok so I am 5'4 have been stuck at 143lbs for 6 months. When I first started dancing i dropped 5lbs super fast and got to 138, then it went back up to 143, and has pretty much stayed there till this past month where I have suddenly gained 5 pounds. I have been calorie counting every single day for over a year so I literally have all the data of how many calories ive been eating vs how its been affecting my weight. It seems like if I eat 1200 calories, I lose weight, if I eat between 1300-1600, i stay the same, and if i eat any more than that I gain weight. But the thing is, I dance 4 nights a week, I go on stage on average about 12 times in an 8 hour shift and I make sure I pole dance alot every single time I go on stage (intermediate-advanced) So i MUST be burning a ton of calories. It just seems like 1200 calories is just so little compared to everything im burning. Ive read that 1200 is the absolute minimum anyone should be eating. Ive read about BMR and mine is about 1400 and I shouldnt eat below that to lose weight but if i eat 1400 I dont lose any weight at all. Ive heard that my body is just 'used' to all the exercise im getting so im supposed to go to the gym and burn even more calories while still eating a puny 1200? im just at a loss. I know I need to eat 1200 but it just seems like so little and unhealthy. How many calories does everyone else eat to lose or maintain weight?
