Default Re a quote used in Stripping section

One of the women has a part of this quote under her postings. When I first heard this misquoted (very many years ago), it took the form of ‘Do what thuo wilt shall be the whole of the law’. This had a very heavy effect on me.

I read some of his works and stumbled on the below quote. I don’t remember which book it was in. This happened near 30 years ago.

The full quote from Aleister Crowley is "Do what thuo wilt, without lust for result, shall be the whole of the law".

    ok. what's your point?

i'm rather familiar with crowley, though my knowledge is a bit rusty. i've never really been too keen on taking spiritual advice from drugged-out whackjobs. that particular phrase has been said in a variety of ways, not just the one you listed.

also, the concept of engaging in action, for the sake of the action rather than expecting a result, has existed for millenia, particularly in hinduism. they call it "phala", the fruits of one's actions.
