Are you getting enough fiber? If all else fails you could try Milk of Magnesia - that stuff works something fierce! Laxative tea is good too, and very gentle. They have Chocolate flavored Lax tea at Whole Foods!
Being constipated is no fun at all! You feel SO bloaty and uncomfortable.....I hope it passes soon!

Starbucks coffee (no specialty blends/concoctions- just the straight coffee or espresso) or NoExplode (energy/pre-workout drink)- These 2 things keep me regular.

I had this problem a few weeks ago. I was constipated for almost 2 weeks! I started drinking more water and eating more fiber based foods like cereal and it went away.
I try to eat 2 Tablespoons of ground flax seed every PM and I'll take a couple ducolax pills now and then and I eat a lot of broccoli. Sometimes I know I have to go bad, it just won't come out, so I'll use a glycerin butt plug. Those work like a charm!





I must contribute b/c this is so damn funny. A guy I dated was taking some strong painkillers for an operation and it plugged him right up. Nothing was working and his doctor handed him a latex glove and some tubes of surgical lube and told him to "go for it" ie, pull the poop out by hand.

My body doesn't really metabolize fat so well, so whenever I'm plugged up I just eat bacon grease. But that's disgusting and horrible.
Milk of magnesia is pretty good at doing the trick. You could fuck with laxatives, but be careful about that; you wouldn't want to just reverse problems. Being constipated is horrible.



try prune juice or apple juice. I know coffee will jumpstart mine. I made the huge mistake of eating 3 bowls of Raisin Brand in one day. It worked wonderfully but I sure didn't need it. Oh yeah taking lots of vitamin c pills will clean you out too (found out when trying to fend off a cold).








Energy drinks first thing in the morning on an empty stomach work for some. Couldn't hurt to try.

I would get so backed up during my last trimesters of pregnancy that I had to do the same thing! The combination of the position of the baby scrunching up everything and the iron pills made for a hell of a time trying to go to the bathroom so I did what I had to to get some relief.





I remember taking a big spoon of coconut oil & it sent me running to the bathroom. It will make you flush everything out of you!




The Big E yes....enema..Its great and in 2-5 mins the beginning of relief yay!!
I'd be willing to bet money that at least one perv clicked on the title of this post expecting fap material >.<

I feel for you.
I tried out antidepressants for two weeks a little over a year ago and they messed up my system so bad. I was also traveling across Europe at the time and all summer it was a struggle to figure out what worked.
It's almost a year later and I have to make sure I stick to a maintenance routine or I will get totally backed up again. Don't use laxatives! If you do, you will just get on a cycle of using them to flush and then getting backed up again.
What has worked for me is drinking 2-3 glasses of prune juice when I am reeeallly backed up and know I will be at home to um...handle business. Once you're flushed out, drink one glass every morning when you wake up. Drink enough water. Include high fiber and high water content foods like apples, carrots, papaya salad.I also sometimes soak flax seeds overnight and then include them in a smoothie.
And also, try not to stress! I got so angry at doctors telling me it's all in my head when I couldn't go for two weeks. I seriously thought I was gonna die. But once I relaxed a little and trusted that my body would heal itself things got better.





Well this's my situation. I've got Metimucel, took it once, now it's been a couple days. I got a single serving size of aloe/fruit/veg juice, took a fiber bar, had steamed broccoli/cauliflower yesterday. I also took some more Metimucel, mixed it in the juice. I have stopped drinking coffee, for about a week.
These are the foods I find keep me regular, trust me, I have had issues as well!
Ground flax seed
Wheat germ
Cod Liver Oil
Lots of water-especially first thing in the morning
Oatmeal
Bran Flakes
Yogurt
Coffee
Lots of salad and veggies
