    Default myfreeimplants.com - taxable income?

I had a few questions about MFI over in this thread but thought specific tax/money questions could be addressed here in Dollar Den.

Are donations/earnings made via MFI considered taxable income? All money made via the site is sent directly to the member's chosen surgeon, it is never deposited into the individual's account. If it is considered taxable income would I be able to claim appropriate deductions?

Any information from people who have had experience with MFI would also be appreciated.

this one definitely falls in a huge 'gray area' regarding what constitutes 'gifts' versus what constitutes 'payment for services rendered'. Since the recipient never actually has cash paid out in her name, that would tend to support the non-taxable 'gift' interpretation. However, since the website running this operation requires certain 'services' from the girl after receiving her implants, that would tend to support the taxable 'payment' interpretation.

Hmmm, after reading the terms, conditions and contracts I think I'll be better of funding my own surgery. The extra few shifts I'll need to work per week will be worth it considering the money will be accumulating interest in my bank account rather than sitting in a 3rd party account with the risk of 'disappearing' due to a TOS violation.
