i agree with that also... it is a dragged out process to get to work but maybe when you get there things will seem different!

At my venue we're on a weekly roster & you need a medical certificate/dammmnnn good excuse in order to cancel a shift. If you make a habit of it you'll be fined or taken off the roster for 2 weeks. So unless I've got something seriously wrong with me I have to go in, bad mood or not. However, as most of the girls have also said, it's the nights that you don't feel on top of your game that can surprise you!

For example, last Saturday I was looking and feeling like a million bucks. My hair, makeup and outfit were perfect, my attitude was fierce and I was ready to make that money. So it's no coincidence that I had my worst Saturday night in months... the money was dismal and the customers were horrid.

Last night I went to work straight from school, I was exhausted and if it were easier to bail out of a shift I absolutely would have done so. I'm only working 2 nights per week at the moment and can't afford to have those hours cut. I slapped on some makeup, twisted my hair up all messy and prepared myself for a long and painful night. Before I could get a chance to count down the hours I was run off my feet and actually had a really good night!

Just like you can't actually win the lottery without buying a ticket, you can't make any money stripping if you're not going to go in. Go, go go!

No. I learned my lesson with that tonight. I knew I wasn't in a good mood and even one the way there in my car contemplated turning around and going back home. I should of. Didn't even make back the gas money I spent getting there tonight

It can go either way... last night I went to work (really didn't want to... I almost turned my car around halfway there lol) and I barely made more than my house fee. The guys were jerks, there was hardly anyone there, and the girls were all having trouble making money. Ugh...

Other times, I've dragged myself to work, done amazingly well, and been really happy I went. You don't know until how you're gonna do until the shift is over.

It depends, for me I get paid a basic wage and my house fee depends what I make on top of that (first few dances go back to the house but I'll never go home empty handed) so even just to go in, sit at the bar and play on my phone I'm earning money, and the chances of getting a couple of drinks on top of that is high, so I always go in unless I'm too sick to work.

I dont think it is. My mood generally plays up my money, when I feel shitty, I barely make money. It has happened on a rare day but I wouldnt count on it. If you really feel crappy then dont go in. Take that day to relax, do the things you love and start fresh the following day.

depends how well you know yourself and work habits i guess.
if i cant be bothered i go anyway and get a drink, chat with the girls, get into the mood and actually start being productive.

when i dont go is when ive either been working everyday/hung over/had school all week and i know i wont be able to keep my eyes open, cant hold conversation, cant be bothered to dance, will get irritated really easily, procrastinate going up to people and feel angry and sad when someone else gets them and you hear they were a big spender.

yeah im burnt out cant you tell?

depends. for a first night, i'd definitely give it a go, because i never expect much my first night at a new club, or even the first night back after a break. to me, i'd get to take my shitty first night, where i'm trying to learn the rules and such, on a night when i'm not feeling like trying very hard anyways. then, the next night, when i feel better hopefully, i'll be able to work at full force instead of dragging myself down acclimating to a new club.

in general, at a club i already work at, sometimes it works out. sometimes it doesn't. but if it's bad, i don't feel bad for not making money, cos i wasn't feeling in the mood to work anyhow. if i go in ready to actually try, feeling all good about myself, then i don't make money, that's just the worst.

I'm ill - I can't stop coughing and sneezing, and my nose is running a marathon. But even in this state I'm capable of sitting at the bar and occasionally doing a slow dance on the stage. Last night I went in to just sit and do nothing, but this norwegian guy thats been in 3 nights without getting a dance decided to take me for a dance (yay for doing what the others couldn't) then for the rest of the night I had really good timing - finding guys all ready to spend, and at one point walking up to a guy whose friend decided 2 mins later to buy a VIP for the 4 guys and 4 girls of their choice. He paid for a repeat VIP when that was over, then as I returned to the floor my fuckbuddy was there waiting to have a drink with me before he goes to switzerland for a week (this is a guy from OTC, not a customer)
It was soooo worth going in last night, even if I should be resting

I'm going through this right now myself. should I go in or not? don't have to leave for another hour and a half and I don't really get penalized for being late so I could always take a nap and show in 2 or 3 hours.

usually my decision is based on how badly I need the money, if I have bills to pay soon, if I need to buy a birthday present, etc. I just paid all my bills and bought groceries and aside from my savings (which I never touch) I've got about 30 bucks so since I've already bought food and paid bills I can afford to take tonight off, but I won't be able to go out or anything. I'm gonna try to psych myself up to go to work, but if it doesn't work I'll just stay home.

Like many have already said it just depends on how burnt out-shitty I feel. There have been many nights I have gone to work and I felt it was a waste bc I was all done up and well rested and money was crap. Plenty of nites too where I felt shitty and for some reason guys were ready to spend and I did well. Its really a crap shoot. But if I am reallyyy upset I would def call out.

I went in last night, both tired and highly unmotivated.... Left with 700$ and a 100$ wal- mart gift card.....lol. If u are sick, I say stay home but if not.... Just go in... My expectations were low because of my mood and it worked out well. You gotta play to win!

Lol, I drained this dudes wallet and he was having trouble pulling $$ out of the ATM to tip me..... I noticed a 100$ Wal mart gift card in his wallet and told him since he couldn't get any more $$$ out, I would take the card!! He handed it right over..... Imagine my delight when I got up to the cashier and the full amount was on the card! I figured he couldve used it already but it was worth taking a chance.... It was for a tip, I was already paid. Yay for free groceries!
