    Default Hair Cut/Style HELP!

I've bleached my hair, I've had extensions, I've been wearing wigs, and now I'm sick of it.

My hair looks like this pic:

And I want a NEW style.....

However, here are my problems--- I'm bored of the style, but I really want to maintain as much of the length as possible. I'm trying to grow my hair long again. I don't do blunt bangs and for some reason every short hair style I google has a cleopatra bang!!! grrr.

The razor cutting (the feathery effect or whatever) isn't really working for me.

So how can I switch up my hair cut without compromising my efforts to grow my hair longer????

How can I re-grow my hair without looking like a hot mess???

    Please post links or pics!

not sure what to tell you about a new style but i do have some advice on how to grow your hair out.
if you aren't already using one get a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, bought at either a salon or salon product store. i personally use joico but matrix biolage is another great brand i love. do not wash your hair everyday, honestly go as long as you can without washing it. it will take your hair awhile to adjust to not being washed everyday so do it gradually. i am at the point where i go 5 days without washing. in the shower you can massage your scalp between washings to help fight the oil. if you can try to use as little heat on your hair as possible, and if you do use a heat protectant. chi makes a variety of great products for this. and as much as this last part sucks, it's best not to dye your hair. this is the routine i follow and i get compliments all the time on how great my hair looks and how healthy it is. my hair is almost half way down my back now and still in great condition.

    i hope that helps!

Yeah... I'm done with dye for the foreseeable future.

However, not washing my hair is damn near impossible. The previously bleached parts are drier than a (______) <<<insert joke here!.... so I have to condition daily. Otherwise I end up rocking the albert einstein poof.

I went through this exact dilemma last year! I think my best advice is just to be patient...really really patient as it grows out. I myself was afraid to go in for a cut because I knew they would end up hacking off too much because of the bleach damage. It took me about a year to grow out my natural color and I just kept trimming little bits of the ends off myself as the bleach grew out. I switched to an organic shampoo and conditioner which made a HUGE difference. I like Mill Creek Jojoba shampoo and conditioner (unscented). I just played around with different up do's and parts and half up half downs until it finally got long again to keep from getting so bored..

Massaging and oiling your scalp three times a week with natural oils such as olive or coconut will stimulate the hair follicle. Leave the oil in for a minimum of two hours before shampooing. Along with oiling the scalp you can distribute oil onto the length of your hair as well for a deep conditioning effect. It may take more than once to shampoo the oil off, but the results are definitely worth it. In the mean time you can look into purchasing clip in hair extensions. You can purchase a decent set at Sally Beauty Supply for less than $100.
