    Default Filing taxes in Canada

I'm really nervous about filing taxes because last year was my first full year that consisted entirely of self-employed income. I haven't added it all up yet but I don't think I made very much since I relied on my fiance's income for most of the year and didn't work very hard at webcam until after he quit.

I know there's several Canadian girls on this board so I thought I'd ask. Do you normally have to pay taxes? Or do you get money back, or do you generally break even? I have a kid so hopefully that will help. I just hope they don't consider my fiance as a common-law partner and factor his income in.

Please tell me I'm worrying for no reason. I will shit my pants if I have to pay a big fee.

it's the same questions every week and year on here. keep track of what you make, and spend, keep all your tax slips from student loans, retirement accounts, saving accounts, welfare and etc

put them together and write the appropriate numbers down in the approipriate fields on the tax forms stop making it complicated it's not

Okay, well before I posted this thread I spent about 2 hours browsing the CRA's website trying to figure things out and I'm still very confused, so yeah it does seem pretty complicated.

I'm not asking anyone to do my taxes for me, I just thought I'd ask what others experiences are.

I still have *thousands* of dollars paid in tuition that I can carry forward for years, so I'm hoping that'll help me out a bunch.
I do know that Revenue Canada considers a relationship to be commonlaw if you've lived with each other for two years. (In fact, that's one of the few places that actually consider "common law" to be a valid relationship status.)

Hi everyone! Ive been out of the cam business for about 6 years. I am thinking to go back into it but have a question about u.s. cam sites reporting our income to revenue canada? I did pay my taxes before, just wondering if anything has changed?

IF you are Canadian or UK you are on your own to file your taxes.

Cam sites will not send you any tax information.

Refer to the link I've posted in a previous reply.

You claim what you make in Canadian dollars and write off all the things you used towards your business.

You are earning commissions if you are wondering what box you enter in those numbers.
