    Default Reading List!

Lately there's been a few books mentioned in some of the threads, but I thought maybe we could have them all in one place!! (I'm a little ocd like that I guess?)

So, let's have it ladies! Books that have helped your hustle? Your dirty talk? Your understanding of the male psyche and why they are the way they are?

my favorite two books for the hustling game is : The Coldest Winter Ever ( I'm about to reread it for the 100th time ...LOL , I am feeling discouraged and that book ALWAYS has me ready to cold blood hustle.)

Then there's 48 laws of Power.... That book is too powerful for words, always leaves me feeling confident and ready to take on the world like a boss would.

In another thread, I recommended two books about strip club regulars, & one about phone sex regulars, which are also HIGHLY applicable to camming work (in my opinion):

    "The Fantasy Factory"
"Dancing for Dollars and Paying for Love"
    "G-Strings and Sympathy"

    other books on my nightstand:

stuff by Pat Califia, Tristan Taormino, Annie Sprinkle, Nina Hartley, Shannon Bell, Lily Burana, Elizabeth Eaves, Virginie Despentes, MICHELE TEA (seriously, read "Rent Girl" right quick), Carol Queen... oh my god, the list could go on and on and on.

    I'm a bookslut. I admit it.

I'm currently reading "Think and Grow Rich" which is an all-purpose improve-your-financial-life sort of book. I got it at Costco for six bucks too.

"Strip City" by Lily Burana is great. She takes a year and works in strip clubs all over the country before settling down to get married. She also hits a couple places I've worked, so that was cool to read about.

I love this book! "Flesh for Fantasy" is another great anthology that a lot of fucking BRILLIANT, sexy, bold strippers are featured in. Such an inspiring read.

I'm also cross-posting this recommendation, because the more I think about it, the more helpful I think this book could be. I've certainly found it very helpful, happy, etc.: try reading Carol Queen's "Exhibitionism for the Shy." It's on my bedside table right now & it's fantastic! She has lots of stuff about dirty-talk, and ALSO, refreshingly, a whole chapter about sex work. Needless to say, she's a sex worker herself, so she's very helpful, and nonjudgmental. Highly recommend!

I'm getting a pretty decent collection of books about courtesans and geshias going. I'm currently reading "Sex With Kings" by Eleanor Herman, which is about all the royal mistresses of the kings of Europe - kind of like a sugar daddy arrangement turned up to 11. It's been pretty interesting so far, some of the mistresses were complete airheads and a few ended up running the country behind the scenes.

Is Anne Boleyn in that book? I like books about King Henrey the 8th a lot, I went through a history obsessed phase. I have been looking for some new books to read, Think I'll put some of these on my amazon wishlist

Wild Swans was good - it's about 3 generations of Chinese women; the first one was a concubine of some emperor. I had to read it for school.

OMG!! "Secret Diary of a London Call Girl" ...I just finished the book on my kindle...and while the book wasn't as descriptive throughout, the series on Showtime makes me feel sexy and actually makes me want to escort...lol..Series 1 and 2 are more sexy than the 3rd...in case you ladies are thinking of seeing it!!

But anyway it is good motivation to watch it (on demand) before going on cam or being a PSO...turns my hustle button on.

***BTW: Can you ladies check out my post for sites for "thick" women...could really use your opinions...thanks

She's not, but the same author has a book called "Sex with the Queen" and she's definitely in that one. I would recommend both, they are history books, but not dry at all.

^^^^ Oh the series is rubbish compared to the books.

Belle du Jour's Guide to Men.

Also if you really want the whole list all in one place, you should list all the books in your original posting and try to get an admin to sticky it.

Have you guys read any of the "Princess" series. About Princess Sultana of Saudia Arabia and her telling the stories of the horrible abuses that took/take place in the country against women. I have 3 of the books and while "Sultana" is not her name, the book is based on true events and really hard to put down...I guess I am attracted to it because I had to be in the middle-east for 3 yrs, but it is still a great read, try it out.

I <3 Belle du Jour! And it really would be awesome if all the books were listed in the original posting. I volunteer to help compile the list if you want, MissEgo! Although I'm sure you're perfectly capable of doing it on your own

Other than that I read mostly the books I got from my school's bookstore on all types of topics from Business, Grammar ( I need to improve since I freelance write), and Computers. I also read motivational books to help me improve my finances and stay positive...Maybe not a lot of help with the men category though. LOL I get my adultwork hustling advice from the forums online. Now I want to go to Barnes&Nobles....

I will have to post later with the names/titles of the books

I just want to second Sex and say that "This thread is awesome! Woooooooooooooo, book-loving babes!" A few of these books Ive been meaning to read, a few I had no idea about and plan on reading. I love you girls!

One of my favorite erotic novels, besides Delta of Venus is a series by Anne Rice called The Sleeping Beauty Novels. Love Love. If you want to keep this just books, thats fine with me

    but....

What about films? One I watched on Netflix Instant recently was a documentary called The Art of Burlesque: A Wink and a Smile. It was pretty good. I love anything Burlesque!

The Satanic Witch by Anton LaVey.

Don't be afraid of the title. It's less of a 'satanic' book, in my own, personal opinion anyways, and more of a

" Reject the beauty magazine brainwashing of what appeals to men. Listen to your biological instincts and natural sex drive. OWN it. And EXPLOIT it. THIS is what will make you a sexy seductive 'witch' (read: femme fatale)."

I think LaVey's 'teachings' are a fun read, in general. He is light-hearted in his approach and even seems to make fun of his own direct style of dialogue.

When reading this book, which I go back to when I want a refresher of sorts, it seems like he almost has the voice of a strip club house-mom who was a former dancer and is giving 'ole stripper's tales' that still apply across generations. That, or a Howard Stern type of guy.

Oh my god, I love "Delta of Venus" so hard. Have you read "Little Birds," by her? Same deal, short, erotic stories, with some overlap of characters!

And I've been meaning to read The Sleeping Beauty novels! Now I'm going to go ahead and finally do it

Erotic films I love, some dealing with sex work straight on, some just dealing with sex:

    WOOT WOOT!

Adding Little Birds and all those films to my list Strangely I just posted the other day about a new girl to MFC named Little Bird. This is her second week and she is already over 4500 for her cam score. She doesnt really do anything crazy, she gets nude in public chat, doesnt do privates and is super shy and kinda awkward.

The guys go NUTS for her. She has a tattoo on her arm of a bunch of birds so I thought thats where the name came from. This is an odd coincidence to hear about "Little Birds" twice in one week so I must read the book now

^ Huh, I noticed LittleBird recently, too. Mostly because she was on the first page, and looked hella different from most other people up there. Have to check her out more

And I'm totally gonna see if the burlesque movie you suggested is at my university's library (fingers crossed). Keep the recs coming!
