Default Government proposes to eliminate the $1 bill

Proposes replacing it with a $1 coin. Are you girls ready to except coins as tips? LOL

I guess it distrubes me alittle that when I read the article my 1st thought was "what are the dancers going to do with coins instead of paper bills" LOL.
I can do better than you in a two bit fancy house

Clubs will probably make club bills and take a cut from your bills. I worked at a club like that in London for a few weeks. They were horrible.

I work in Canada. Seriously, the usually just give me a $5 after a dance (along with the $20)

We don't get stage tips up here (not as much a tipping culture as the USA), but out in western Canada girls get tipped with toonies and loonies. The guys are encouraged to throw them at the stage - girls will use a playing card as a target and tape them to themselves or a part of the stage as a target. The guy who hits the moving target with a toonie gets a prize (usually a short little dance after the stage set). Kinda degrading.

Oh, and in France we don't generally get anything less than €10 tip. Noone seems to carry €5 bills.

LOL Ouch! I can just see some poor girl getting hit in the face with a fistfull of coins. That shit would never fly over here, I would expect some dancer to do some serious ass-kicking if someone started throwing coins at her at the clubs I go to

What 4everresolutions said, except I find that $5 tips on top of dance costs isn't the norm in my city, but tipping itself is pretty uncommon, especially on stage. I bet it has a lot to do with the fact that we don't have smaller denomination bills, and customers would rather put that toward a $10 table dance or $20 private dance, yanno? Out West, $1 or $2 coins *are* used for tipping in games, but if a customer were to toss a loonie or toonie on stage here (Ontario) most girls would be pretty offended. I remember seeing a drunk guy trying to toss a few on the stage, and the girl sitting with him was super quick to stop and chastise him about why he shouldn't, while the girl on stage looked terribly unimpressed with him. So, I don't think US stripping would have to worry about getting tipped in coins - I'd be more concerned about not getting tipped as much, actually.

It'll never happen. If they won't phase out the penny, then they won't phase out the dollar bill.
