    Tired tips?

Ok, so here is my situation:

I danced for 6yrs straight. No breaks.

Due to my having just paid $2,500 for a bar prep program, having to get a new car (guy ran a red light and totaled mine. got a new car, but insurance only paid part of it), and my mother losing her job, I need money fast. I graduate law school in May, take the bar in july and working during bar prep is not an option. I have my bills paid till 1 month after my bar exam, but i need more saved up, badly, so i am not going "omg i might be homeless" after the bar. No, i did not save up from dancing before...it was not my primary income, it was to pay other bills, and offset some things (i.e. reduce how much student loan i needed to take). It was not a full time job at any point. Most I worked any given week was 24hrs...usually four 6hr shifts. I never did it with the idea of saving up, so please dont bitch at me about that.

I need 4k as soon as i can get it.

I have to go back to dancing. I hate this. I have already had a panic attack at the idea.

I did ok, not a top earner, but very regular, decent money without any real heavy "hustling." I was one of those who just was not good at it ( i tried 100%, trust me). I am in good shape (avatar is me) and am smart. I don't play dumb well, at all. I was always a managers/ DJs favorite. I am a 100% clean dancer.

I will be going back to the last club i worked at. auditioning this week. they do lapdances. its a full nude w/ alcohol club.

i also model, but that is so 'come and go' that i cannot assume 'X' amount per month in income. its good money, but not consistent enough.

I was hoping some you ladies might have advice on how to deal with and maximize this time. I am sick with the idea of going back, but realize that right now it is my best option for making the money quickly. A regular job is not an option as i would need to quit in 2 months and i am not going to do that to an employer.

Any tips on how to make the most of this? Or even just how to keep myself from freaking out/panicking/etc? I can only work wednesday nights and weekends due to my school schedule. After the 1st of june, i will only be able to work fri/sat/sun nights. I want the most money in the shortest period of time.

I guess i just want some thoughts/advice or even stories from girls who have dealt with similar

If it makes any difference, I have been out of dancing for 13months. not worried about getting hired, worried about losing it 3 weeks into doing it again. when i quit, i was 110% burned out, and everyone around me could tell the toll it had taken on me.

I hear you on the burnout thing, it's happened to me about 4 times in the last eleven years working the clubs. At this point I've been basically burned for three years straight, and trust me, I am ready for a break from this shit.

The one thing you really have going for you is this is just a means to an end, a very temporary solution to a temporary problem for you. You're going to be a lawyer in a little while, and this will all be far behind you. If it starts getting to you again, try to keep that in your mind.

Maybe you should try a different club, if you got burned out so badly at the last??

Have you considered any alternatives? Is there any chance of borrowing money to get you through, until you take your bar exam? Do you have good credit? Would you consider selling your new car, and buying a cheap used car to get you through until you're able to practice law?

It can be easier to stay motivated to hustle if you only work a couple of nights a week. I currently work 5 nights (Thursday through Monday) and struggle to make an effort on more than 3 nights, but I can manage to psych myself up enough to work really, really hard when I do.
Get yourself in a routine before work so that when you start you feel great and are ready to work. Set yourself some ground rules about how much you will allow yourself to drink (I have 2 drinks unless I get a CR) and how long you can stay off the floor or chatting to the other girls. Give yourself a target of how many customers you have to approach (its good to have monetary targets too, but I find I panic if my night starts slow).
Just stay focused and remember why you're there.
    Good luck

I never burned out,i stopped dancing because I got pregnant..BUT I can totally understand where you're coming from.
You just gotta remind your self night after night that you have a goal in mind, and dancings soul purpose is to reach that goal, and nothing more! You ARE on your way to bigger and better things (not that dancing is a bad thing).
As far as making the most money you can in a short amount of time,I can't really help you there. I'm horrible with finances, and only danced for extra pocket cash. But you're a veteran,I'm sure you will be JUST FINE. Try to work as many hours as you can without getting even more burned out. more hours=more money (generally)
see if you can get a small personal loan. Even if it's not the full amount,it'll still help you reach your goal faster with less dancing. Maybe check out craigslist and see if you have anything to sell that people might be interested in. You have many options Camming is fun and easy-I don't know how you feel about that though.
I'm sure you'll figure it all out. You're smart

Really keep your goals in mind.

Make a financial goal each week, not per night. Is your club only open at night? If you are working 3 nights a week, and your weekly goal is 1000 dollars, if by the last workday you are still far off, then go in early.

+1 on the "buy a cheap car" tip if it's not too late - I can point you toward some options you could pick up for under $2000 that would last a couple of years if need be.

Other girls have given good advice about attitude and goals.

Have you ever taken a formal sales training course? I trained my girls the way I trained sales forces and nearly doubled their earnings within a week. And no, I'm not going to try and charge you for anything, lol. If you'd like a few tips, PM me.

Good luck with the bar. Start a practice representing dancers against their clubs, lol. Only half joking.

    as to the car thing:

i got as cheap a car i could that was reliable. its from 2004 with over 70K miles on it, but was a consumer reports best bet for used cars. having gone the "just buy a cheap car" route my first time, and then spending more to fix it than i had to buy it within 2yrs, i am not doing that again. i spent a ton of time researching and trust me when i say money was in my mind. i am cheap, really cheap, trust me on this. people think i am nuts with my penny pinching ways.

I have quit dancing several times. Each time I dreaded ever going back, but necessity called. And every time I forced myself back and just got-it-over-with its like, Oh ok that wasn't so bad. Its the 'dread' of going back that is more overwhelming and scary than the actually doing it part. Once you get your ass in there, its like riding a bike.
