    Sad Breast Dilemma

I'm having a huge breast dilemma right now (ha bad pun! ) and I was wondering if any of you wonderful ladies have some insight into breast lifts and augmentation. I tried the search function but didn't really find anything suited to this.

    Some background:
Currently, I wear a 34G, but my right breast is probably around an E or a D. I'm around 4'10 and 128lbs with that number steadily dropping as I lose my post-baby weight.

Pre-baby, I lost a good chunk of weight and at 90lbs I wore a 32C, but my breasts had sagged from the weight loss. I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy and top out at 160lbs with a 34H and my breasts sagged more from breastfeeding.

As I'm losing weight and my child is losing interest in breastfeeding at 13 months old, they're drooping even more . All my breast tissue has migrated down and despite the numerous chest exercises I do and remedies I try, nothing is bringing these puppies back up. They've lost all sense of firmness and volume. I can grab the loose skin from the top of my breast and easily stretch it beyond an inch from my chest and it's beyond horrifying. It's like having two sad waterballoons filled with butter on my chest. With enough body tape and a good push up bra, I can give the illusion of having even, full breasts, but I would like to dance in a club one day and I'm sure their appearance scares away some of my camming customers.

I know as I reach my pre-pregnancy weight and finish weaning, its going to get even worse and I'll probably need to roll my breasts into my bra like a damn Fruit Roll-Up by the time I hit the 6 month wait period after ceasing lactation.

    My Dilemma:
I've looked into the various techniques of breast lifts and it's highly probable that I'll get implants because I'll miss the large size when I hit my goal weight. My biggest concern is the techniques of a breast lift all involve cutting around the areola which is where the milk ducts are located. I would like to have more children in the future and breastfeed them, and as a Lactation Consultant I am aware that the ducts can be severed during surgery and cause let-down problems.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a breast lift and/or augmentation and or heard of any complications with breastfeeding? Or did things run smoothly? In terms of scarring from the procedure, how visible is it? Do you cover it with makeup if there is a very visible scar?

I really tried to get comfortable with my breasts as they are, but even in my finest corset and lacy panties I cannot feel sexy or feminine with how they look and knowing how much worse they'll get.

Any input is much appreciated. Sorry for the wall of text.

While it's possible to 'tighten up' a cup size or two via the 'donut lift' procedure ... where the surgeon removes a donut shaped section of skin beyond the areola ... to 'tighten up' a large amount of surplus breast skin requires the 'anchor lift' procedure. This involves large incisions all the way from the nipple to the bottom of the breast. In general the 'anchor lift' procedures leaves large visible scars, risks nerve damage as well as damage to milk ducts etc.

If you don't mind the large size, the other way to 'tighten up' a lot of loose breast skin is to go with sufficiently large breast implants.

As far as scarring... One of my coworkers had a pretty extreme breast lift (hers were, like you joke, the type you practically need to roll up to put in a bra)... the scar was pretty bad at first... but it healed up very nicely by about a year later and you could hardly see it.

How large are we talking? I wouldn't mind keeping an E or F cup, but it terms of actual breast tissue and skin, wouldn't the implants themselves sag as well?

Thank you! I was looking at pictures of breast lift results and I always see the relatively soon-ish post-op pictures and that red/purple scar screams "DON'T DO THIS!!!!", I haven't really seen what the scar may look like a year after the surgery.

I had this procedure. The doctor called it a 'small benelli lift, but from what I've read online what he did was closer to a donut lift. I had tuberous breasts to begin with, so he kinda just worked with them and did what he had to to get them to look normal-er. I also had implants put in.

I didn't have 'sag' per say - but they had a droopy look to them. The lift combined with the 350cc implants definatly perked my boobies up, but they're not super porn-star perky. I don't think a donut lift would make the kind of difference you're looking for.

I was told that my BA - where they cut completely around my areola, cut out a donut shaped circle around that, trimmed my areola, put in the implant, and sewed it all back together - would not hurt me when it came time to breast feed. I've yet to have children. I do have a loss of sensitivity in the skin around my areola, but I didn't have much sensitivity to begin with. My nipples are still responsive.

Why don't you check out http://www.justbreastimplants.com/forum/. You can find other women who have had anchor or lollipop lifts. Some women post before and after pictures (you have to 'friend' them first, but it's pretty easy to do that as long as you're an active user and are willing to share your story.), so you can see the scaring and how severe it is, etc.

With me - I scar very badly usually, but you can't even see the scars around my nipples from my implants - heals up really well. Unlike my other operations done for need (spinal fusions, knee surgerys etc), BA's and Lifts are done for aesthetics, so the good doctors are usually really great about minimizing scarring.

    Hope I helped!

    Yup, that's him.
And yeah... her scar looked like that right after, too... but then every time we'd see each other every few months she'd be like "look how much better it looks!" By the end of about a year it was down to that 'old scar slightly lighter than your skin color' color on the line going down but not noticeable at all around the areolas (which she also had reduced in size).
