    Default Dermaroller

I found this Dermaroller device online and am curious about it. It is supposed to cause slight trauma to the skin so that your skin makes collagen to repair it. Supposedly it helps all kinds of skin issues from wrinkles to acne scarring and even cellulite. I'm interested as an alternative to lasers for acne scarring. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Very interesting. Never heard of this but just googled it. As someone who has spent thousands on laser treatments, peels, & dermabrasions for stubborn acne scarring, I'm curious if this actually works. None of the above really helped.

I am going to order one from amazon tonight (about $75 bucks) and will try to take pictures and keep everyone updated. I am going to be using this for stretch marks on my breasts and maybe some light acne scarring, if the glycolic acid lotion doesn't work. I am going with the 1.5 mm needles. I am a little scared, but if this actually works I will probably cry tears of joy. There isn't much I wouldn't try at this point.

I read about these on makemeheal. They have one for the body & one for face. Then there is one for both. You have the option to rent one out for several days, then return it. I may do that myself just to see.

I have a dermaroller and used it for months.

Some people swear by it...but...it didn't do anything for me and it's not fun rolling those needles in your face either. I also tried it on my stretch marks.

I have done skin peels and definitely recommend those.

BTW- I am a licensed esthetician...and I don't think it did anything, sooo that may help make your decision.

I say save your $$$...or better yet, buy mine so I can have my $$$ back

A lot of women are happy with the body one. Didn't read much on the face.

I seriously thought about buying a dermaroller for stretch marks untill I saw this video on youtube. This method plus Bio-Oil helped me to get rid of my stretch marks. I hope it works for anyone who wants to get rid of thiers. While researching the dermaroller I read tons of good reviews for people with acne scars.

So I have been using this thing daily for about a week now and it is starting to help. I am not going to say OMG THIS is it, just yet, but there is some noticeable improvement in texture. The stretch marks feel more plump like the did when they were new...hope that makes sense. It hurts a little because I am not using any topical anesthetic, but it is def very manageable. After about 30 seconds the gate mechanism kicks in and there is even less pain. I just sanitize my skin with alcohol , soak my roller in alcohol, and roll. I then use jergens age defying lotion (which has essential vitmins in it A, C and E).
Bottom line, nothing huge yet, but will keep it up.
