    Arrow Military Reservist Stripper

I've been posting on so many threads lately I cant find who it was that said they dance from time to time and were in the reserve of maybe, the Navy?

My question for her or anyone else with military experience is WHAT do you tell them you do the rest of the year? Isn't it a conflict of interest or theres something in the UCMJ that says as a service memeber you must uphold yaddda yadda yadda = no adult businesses???

When I was 18 I was in the Air Force for 8 months. I finished boot camp and went to Monterey, CA to learn Russian as a translater. I did it to get myself clean and focused. It worked. I wasn't interested in staying and I found out a way to get honorably discharged. I wrote a letter saying I had bisexual feelings and wanted to explore them, I swore I never acted on them or felt this way before. They let me go with an honorable discharge = Homosexual admission. I always felt like that was a mistake. Now the legislation has changed and I can be re-admitted I believe.....but what should I do with my shoddy dancer & model resume?

I wasn't in the Navy, but in another branch. Definitely DON'T give up any information. I wasn't in the reserves, but I doubt that it would be okay for one group and not for the other.

I wanted to start dancing when I was still enlisted, but I knew if I was caught they would punish me to the fullest. So I waited until I was out. I do know of servicemembers who did all kinds of things on the side from dancing to hoing. When they were caught, they were made an example of. It's possible you could be in a unit/company that will look the other way if they caught wind, but why risk it.

Stripping falls under the 'conduct unbecoming' area I'm sure.

Yep, conduct unbecoming. Thats the term I was searching for. Maybe it's just a fantasy of mine to be under all that rigidity again (wink) Not sure if all the pomp and circumstance is my thing any more I'm a bit of free spirit.....but I'm a really great team player too and did well with the structure it was my job I didn't like. Being a russian translator, airborne, seemed like a too-serious of a job to ever enjoy. Plus I felt like the over qualified a lot of linguists so they could cut a ton, reclassify their jobs to infantry and only take the cream of the crop.

It is a violation of UCMJ, you are correct (for a service member to have cam, pso, porn, etc jobs). It is also illegal for service members to be on certain social sites in uniform (and some without uniform) and especially dating sites...I've seen guys in uniform on dating sites and I just SMH because if the wrong person see's it, they are done...

I am no longer active duty Army, but I was and I was for 7 years.

Shit, everything's illegal in the military, especially when sex is concerned.

If you do decide to go back, do NOT lie about being a stripper. Being a stripper prior to signing up is not a big deal but lying about it is. It's a super big deal if you go back to intelligence because you'll need a security clearance. If they find out you were dancing and you didn't tell them, you won't get that clearance and they'll put you through hell.

Slightly off topic but the Navy reclassed linguists to the infantry?! Seriously? Wow, I'm glad I didn't join the Navy (Army girl) as they are apparently evil.

I believe Jay12 claims to be a reservist. I believe she has also claimed to have been seen dancing by her military buddies.

I've also seen tons of officers, but they don't know me; but they tip me good 'cause they think is surprising that some stripper knows about naval aircraft.

This all seems a bit weird to me but what the fuck do I know?

^Certain people on this board who claim to be reservists who strip at a club where everyone from the base goes and claim to be 'total bitches' to lower ranking soldiers while they throw money at her have also been called out for lying on more than one occasion by more than one person.

The information provided in this thread by those who posted above are accurate and should be valued much more greatly than things posted by unnamed board members elsewhere on the site.

It was the air force I was in. This was only a few months after 9/11 that I signed up. They changed a LOT of people's languages to persian-farsi even if they had already been studying something else. When those people couldn't hack it they were re-assigned. Also people in languages like French knew their chances for employment in that were slim, we aren't really spying on the french these days...

Off topic, but funny. When I was in basic training for the Army my drill sgt had all of the girls from my platoon in his shoebox sized office--about 10. He made us all drop (push up position) and told us to raise our hand if we were strippers. This sounds like I am lying, but THREE girls raised their hands. It was so funny.

I believe what Jay said about running in to people at her club. The area that she lives in has a huge military population and shit strip clubs. A reservist most definitely has more than her reserve job. She probably only works one weekend a month. Jay is annoying as hell and barely speaks English, but I don't think she is lying.

just curious, did he have a specific reason for doing this?

Jesus, I never thought about how 9/11 would affect DLI. I was there in 99/early 2000 and it seemed like Korean was the big language. That's what I was in and everybody was talking about how our next war was gonna be with Korea. LOL, it's not really funny but it's kinda funny now that I think about it.

In the Army, if you flunk out with a LOA (lack of ability) then you get to pick your new job and they're pretty cool about it so you can usually get something good. If you flunk with an LOE (lack of effort) then you're fucked. At least that's how it was back then.

I am in the reserves; naval reserve.

The UCMJ does not punish this type of business.
    Here are the punitive articles
    http://usmilitary.about.com/od/punit...cles/a/mcm.htm

Being in the reserves=/=Being active duty.

In the reserves, the military is like any part time job. If I'm not doing drugs or soliciting sex for money in the streets, they can't punish me for that.

All branches are different when it comes to this. The navy is not as strict as the airforce, for example, with these type of manners.

If the military decides to punish someone engaging these type of behavior, it would be other grounds, like drug use (many strip clubs are actually drug dealers undercover), or prostitution (which is an actual offense).

I once knew a girl in Florida who was about to get NJP for doing this; she requested court martial instead. The case went down because there wasn't a written instruction by her command saying that she wasn't allowed to do this.

If a command clearly stipulates in black and white that this type of work shall not be allowed, then it would be forbidden until that person gets to go to another command that do not have that regulation.

Wow really cool, thank you. I have something to think about now Does the reserve dictate where you live? Or you always just travel for your job?

UCMJ states that ANY service member (active, guard or reservists) can't "disrespect the uniform."

Stripping, cam, dating sights (in uniform), taking and posting pictures (in uniform or with weapons) on FB, my space or whatever are ALL punishable under UCMJ.

If you get found out...there will be consequences. If you want to be a soldier and strip, go to the next state on weekends or next county, etc. It is NOT worth it if you get caught.

Not sure where you were stationed, or who told you about getting another job because of LOB, but that isn't true...not in the last 4 years.
I was in Korea too in 1999/2000. Small world.
