Babe no matter what side of the pond you're on US or UK all that is going to cure your insecurities is time. I've told another girl this. We all go through our awkward baby stripper phase. Then enter the "purgatory" phase where you're neither "fresh meat" nor established enough to cultivate regulars. It fucking sucks and it's at this pint most would be dancers quit. They go from "Wooo-hoo!" to wondering why their novelty wore off. It's a testament to your character if you stay or go.

All I can tell you is ride it out. I remember when I had bad nights and I wanted to cry and give up. But then I don't back down from ANYTHING.

I hope you decide to stick around. you seem like you're doing fine. :-)

Tempest and BringOnTheMen speak words of wisdom: Ride out your "off" nights (they happen to everybody!) and fake it 'til you make it!

Here's another suggestion: think of it from your customers' point of view. Those men don't know (or care!) what you are really feeling inside. They're coming to the club to see their fantasy, their dream girl come to life--and that's you!

And remember how well you handled that one obnoxious customer who was trying to call you a "con artist"--you put him in his place very well and your manager backed you up on it! Well done!

Hang in there, hon! You're doin' just fine!
