    Default weaves, lacefronts, and dancing

so i've been wearing weaves and for the past 10 years of my life i just love my extensions. i can do s0o much to them and not worry about damaging my hair. my question is, how do you keep your lacefonts front lifting while your at work? i've noticed when my body temp rises my lacefronts have a tendency to pop up a little. also how do you guys go about styling your full weaves and lacefronts for the full bouncy victoria secret type styles? i buy virgin indian hair but i'm considering relaxing it. indian hair is beautiful but the natural wave is starting to get on my nerves. what do you guys suggest.

I wear full sew ins in my regular life but as a dancer I have tons of lace front wigs. I am a true fan of the Vivica A. Fox line... They are synthetic but since I'm only dancing in them it works. They are also heat resistant so you can curl them. Since I have a sew in underneath I never glue my wigs on. & sometimes they slide up on my forehead (especially towards the end of the night) but i'll just run my hands over my body starting with my head and adjust it sexily...No one is the wiser...

You should try looking on BHM (black hair media forum) the ladies on there have tooooooons of tips on how to keep your wigs and weaves tight! a lot of them mention how to keep their hair loking good while sweating/exercising so I know they will have the tips you are looking for.

As far as the type of hair I would suggest you try chinese hair. Its coarser and more durable than indian hair from MY EXPERIENCE.

When it comes to hair (extension) needs I always check out BHM though because those ladies are serious hair fanatics and really know their stuff!

Hello girls, I was just looking this up last night. I work in Cleveland at Majic City so I sweat alot. I wear lace front wigs but only bond down the sides. If you want to get a very good application go on youtube and do a search for: Ms Lola's FLW Band-Aide Application. I will try this also. I have also looked at Muffin's Is My Lover on Youtube and seen how she pulls the stocking cap down a bit and puts the tape and glue on the stocking cap instead of forehead like I always do. Instead of sweating off the adheasive, the stocking cap and glue will keep the bond tight.

Yes and it's been here for years, but it is soooo tired and wore out. I used to do FBSM and trying to get back into the game, tired of dancing. I had an assistant that dissappeared after the new year so I've been reading all the posts on here to learn to handle the screening process myself so that I can move forward and get this money!

I actually don't glue my wigs down the synthetic ones's anyway. If the lace comes all the way down to the ears like it should and the back has the adjustable straps with the comb it stays very secure. I used to use 30sec Salon Pro Lace Wig Bond. Now if you want some heavy duty shit, because I sweat like hell go to forgirlslikeus.com and I purchased the Kroylan Medical Adhesive. Just be careful it can get stringy. But watch youtube tutorials and apply the glue and or tape to your wigcap instead of your skin like I used to do and you will get a much better stronger hold. Sorry so long.

missiesha: your right, i have noticed that when you put the adhesive directly on the lace you get a better hold. only thing wit that is removing the glue an can be a bitch once it clumps into the holes lol but we do what we gotta do.

girl i know, I just use an old wash cloth and for the Kryolan Extra Strength Medical Adhesive I bought the remover just for that, other wise if I go ahead and use the 30 sec Salon Pro adhesive I just use the best remover and rub in fash short strokes toward the end of the lace in the direction away from the rest of the wig hair

Sewing extra clips inside the perimeter of your wig helps a lot. You know your wig is snug & secure and not going anywhere! All that needs to be done is a thiiiiiin line of adhesive around the very edge of the lace/hairline but that is so the wig looks very natural and doesn't raise up.
