Mind Blowing 56 Hours a week?

    There's this club I am checking out, it's 56 hours per week, 7 p.m-2 a.m.

Is that enough hours to bring in the dough? (I am doing college as well)

    There's another one and it's open 12pm-2:30am on weekdays, and 2 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. on saturday/sunday. But that's not a strip club but like gogo-dancing.

I checked out one, and the strip club is more smaller but it doesn't get busy until a couple hours later. And the other one seems like it's more busier. I assume the gogo dancing one won't bring in money since it's not stripping.

the most I'll ever work is 5 days a week and that's if I REALLY REALLY REALLY need the money. I like to do 3 days a week (21 hrs). if I can make 4-500 each night I'm happy with it.

56 hours a week of any job is crazy, but then if you add in the dancing factor AND college, I'm feeling burnt out just thinking about it!

How did you arrive at 56 hours per week? You stated that the club was open 7PM to 2AM which would be 49 hours a week if you worked all 7 days (still alot). Would you be working both clubs? What ever you decide, I hope you acheive your goals.

For stripping, an overload of hour does not equal more money.

That sounds mortifying. You'll definitely make money, but think about how tired you'll be -- you're gonna be dancing in heels for hours, working up a sweat, and you're probably going to have sore muscles and/or bruises. Plus, stripping is mentally difficult because it involves sales and obnoxious men. I dunno, if I were you I'd tone it down to more like a 25 hour week. Lots of girls make better money when they're happy to be at work and they're focused; working a lot of hours can make you stressed out and less focused, so you might make LESS money.

^x2. I've definitely noticed that the less I work, the higher my average is. When I work more often, it goes down - but I also have more money over all since I've been working more. Just being in the strip club every day can be draining, but add in actually working and you're honestly on a fast path to burnout.

if you have a REALLY REALLY REALLY good non-materialistic motivation for being there 7 days a week, you can still bank each night. if there's a serious situation like if you're getting evicted from your apartment or you want to visit a dying family member who lives across the country you could definitely stay focused.

if you're just trying to buy a new car or a pair of Christian Louboutins you'll be on your 4th straight night in a row of working and say "these dudes piss me off so much! I don't give a FUCK about those Louboutins!"

especially when you're a newbie and you're still in shock over everything these customers try to pull on you lol

This is such a good quote and so, so true. Unless I had to make as much as possible or they were going to reposess my house and both of my cats, there is no way I could work 56 hours a week (though I think the OP meant 49 hours a week and her math is wrong).

I once worked at a club 6 days a week, and several double shifts. I was easily working 70 hours and it started to stress me big time. At the time I was breaking up with an awful boyfriend so it was a way to get out. I ended up making LESS than when I did 3-5 shifts. Once I went back to 3-5 shifts a week compared to 9-10 shifts I made more money. The fact is if you are there all the time many guys will get bored of you. I was also very tired too after dancing all the time and I burnt out bad.

^seriously. even on days off I'm like shit gotta tan, gotta get my eyebrows done, need to wax my legs, gotta buy new fake eyelashes, need to buy tan spray, need to wash my outfits, need to work out, need to buy baby wipes, etc.

even if I'm only ITC for 21 hrs week, it's a full time gig. and when you start to get regulars, you need to text them everyday to find out when they're gonna come see you and it just gets annoying! if I worked everyday I would have no me time.

Seems like this would be addressed somewhere on the newbie boards at least a few hundred times. Stripping isn't like a normal job where you can just multiply average pay by number of hours. It is mentally and physically exhausting. Even just being in the club that much without working would exhaust me. Unless your money motivation is something immediate and serious like losing your home, you aren't going to be able to keep going. I have started picking up a shift every other week or every week again and I make way more on average well rested and relaxed than I ever averaged working full time and more (21-28 hours a week).

I knew a girl years ago who worked literally 90+ hrs/wk while homeless. Like, literally homeless. As in, sleeping in busses or subway trains, showering at the local gym, or couch surfing when it was available to her, sometimes being lucky enough to piece some money together for a hotel room. She hid it at the time, didnt admit all this until much later. Did it for months on end, then right after she finally secured an apartment (took her months because her credit was shot and she was paying off debt in hopes to improve that in order to get a place), she worked those hours again in order to get a boob job so she could finally move on to a much better club. However, she definitely didn't make nearly as much money as she should have for all her efforts and hours worked. Like I said before, she was flat chested and worked at the only club that hired her, which was having difficulty retaining dancers due to the much reduced business. So she was at a low money potential club, working dead day shifts, without a stripper body. She worked a lot and obviously made money since she did eventually get an apartment to live at and a boob job, but overworking didn't really pay off in terms of earning what she deserved. It wasn't until after the boob job that she was able to leave for better hours (nights) at a better club, and make the same or more money for less hours.

Yeah ok because I have never seen a flat chested girl working in a decent money club. Smh. This post is ridiculous.

There must have been something else wrong with her looks or attitude. I'm not buying it.

Haha aww what a cute troll.

Me personally, I work to a certain $ goal every six days. And that goal is a money average, not minimum. So if I exceeded that goal previously, I am allowed to fall below as long as I “average” the number I want.

In other words, heck NO on working extra time in the club just for kicks.

She was super nice but meek, timid, bad posture (maybe timidness had an effect?), and couldn't dance worth shit too. Was probably the nicest girl I ever worked with, which isn't necessarily a good thing when it comes to working with cutthroat chicks in a hard sales environment.

She made money but had to work like 14 hrs just to make a few hundred. Part of why she worked so much was because this club I worked with her at had a policy that you could stay as late as you wanted as long as you show up for the shifts the manager schedules you. Manager always put her on day shift. So she would make like $20-30 on a 4hr day shift then stay till like 2am to make the bulk of her money.

Ok, I can believe it now that you mention she was also timid or too nice (or whatever).

So basically she had no hustle in a sea of pro hustlers?

Then yeah she needs to rely more on looks. I will say posture and how you carry yourself does make a huge difference though.

I've never worked anywhere that actual dancing ability makes a huge difference consistently on your earnings, so idk if that had much of an effect.

Yes. Exactly. Come to think of it, maybe the same traits that made the hustle more difficult for her were the same reasons she became homeless in the first place.

Dancing ability might not make or break earnings in some situations possibly, but it can definitely affect auditions and whether the manager hires you. Particularly if lack of dance skills makes the girl appear inexperienced, irregardless if she actually is or not, at a club where management is adverse to hiring beginners. In this girl's case, the female hiring manager literally laughed at her dancing attempt but agreed to hire her anyway on condition that she'd work 7 day shifts a week since they were struggling to get day girls.

I recall a time where the night was awful. Bunch of rude cheapos. I only had like $60-80 after 3 hrs and it was not getting better. I was getting aggravated and wanted to leave. Manager wanted me to stay, claimed "we need girls." I told him I was making no money. He then tried to pin the blame on me by saying I wasn't making anything because I wasn't smiling, then points out aforementioned flat stripper and calls out, "For example, look at Christa! She ALWAYS makes money because she's always smiling and cheerful!" Not much later as I was leaving, I passed Christa in the stairwell on my way out and overheard her lamenting on her cell phone to someone about how she only made like $83 the entire day so far from 12pm to 12am. So yeah, manager was wrong, even cheery Christa wasn't earning, despite painting an apparently fake smile on her face. That's how I knew she wasn't earning for all her hours put in.

When I danced in college, it was three days a week, no more than 18 hours. On summer break, I'd sometimes do 40 hour weeks. No more.
