Thumbs up Rice noodles and other substitutes

I started substituting rice noodles in place of refined flour products (I hope that's the proper term, y'all know what I mean) Anyways they have less calories than refined products and they cook faster. Anyone have other recommendations?

Use whole-grain noodles (whether rice or wheat). Being made from whole-grain flour is much more important than the sort of flour from which they're made.

I've read about these here before but my local Asian market doesn't carry them. They sound like a decent option if you want to watch your weight post-surgery. Everyone says to rinse them well or they taste funny...

i'm normally a fan of weird things...especially if they are super low calorie. I found these at a local market and got like 8 packages figuring even if they weren't the best they would be tolerable. I thought they were so gross....tried rinsing like crazy but they still smelled and tasted fishy

I like brown rice, it comes cooked/frozen you can just thaw it or microwave it, brown rice pasta, purchased from Trader Joe's.
