Default What is a private dance?

    Hi all!
I don't think I know how to do a proper search on this site because I can't seem to find a thread that will answer my simple question. What is different about a private dance or taking a customer to VIP?
You dance on stage, you give lap dances in the public areas but I can't figure out what you do differently in private.
I want to start dancing soon but need to know what ALL I have to be aware of.

That greatly varies by club. Mine, for example, has stage dancing, table dancing (dances done out in the open on the floor where no touching is permitted) and private dancing (contact lap dance in what they call a champagne room, but is different from what most clubs call a CR since customers get neither champagne, nor do they pay for a block of time, they pay per dance). Some clubs have lap dances done in public areas, some they are only done in private. Some clubs have VIP rooms where customers buy blocks of time rather than dances.

Your best bet would be to post the club you're interested in working in, and maybe one of the girls on here will be able to fill you in on how it works. Otherwise, just go to the club. Rest assured that when you get hired, you will be told the different types of dances - they aren't just going to expect you to know and then throw you out on the floor.

That helps a lot! I realize it means different things at different clubs so I guess I'll have to check them out. I was just worried that when you take a customer in private - "other" things happen which I want no part of. I'm ok with dancing and grinding and such but I don't want them to make advances to try to steal a kiss or slip a finger, if you know what I mean - Lol!

i've never worked in the club but from what i can deduce from reading about VIP's on this site is it's the same thing. a private party will generally be a birthday party, bachelor party, or some kind of party with 5-30 people (sometimes they are larger) and you do lap dances and party games. typically at the end you can offer private dancers at a higher fee than a regular dance. it's just you and the guy in a different room for more privacy. i keep the door halfway open so if i need my bouncer to come in i can easily call him into the room. i make it clear to the guys that the same rules apply in a private dance as a regular dance at the party--they are allowed to touch but not below the waist. and NO EXTRAS. this is clear to them before we go in for our private dance. a private dance is basically the same as a regular dance except in a more "private", intimate setting.

While such contact is illegal (I can't think of a strip club in North America that would allow oral or pussy contact) and well against club rules, there are some areas where management looks the other way and clubs are rampant with such extras. So, even though it's allowed, prepare yourself to be propositioned or have customers make attempts at getting such contact. Knowing your boundaries is very very important (especially as a new dancer since weirdos tend to gravitate to new girls who may not know the rules or be assertive enough to say no), so just be cognizant of that and do not be afraid to end a dance or say no to things you aren't comfortable with.
