Default Mittens keeps peeing everywhere! Stress?

Soooo Ive had Mittens (my female cat) for about 6 years. She got fixed about 4 yrs ago. She has never peed in the house. Well I moved in with my friends a few weeks ago while I waited on my house here to be completed. They had cat and dogs… my cat didnt like that, so she was often bullied, and she did pee once or twice in my bedroom bc she simply couldnt get out to the litter box (so glad to be out of there)
So now we move in to our apartment, finally get settled in a couple days ago, shes back to being the only cat in the house…and she is peeing! I never catch her in the act, but I have smelled it in various places in the apartment. once or twice in my room, another time in the living room…… Im not sure whats going on. I will call her vet in the morning, but until then, Id like some ideas…

Could she be stressed from the move? Does she dislike my lil terrorist daughter so much that she would start peeing? (which would be weird, since this is BRAND new problem, while my kid has always messed with her)
Anyways, I love Mittens to death, and I hope this isnt a medical thing such as UTI.

Oh yea, her litter and food has always been the same.

    Thx guys

Yeah, for sure get her checked for a UTI.

If it's stress related due to the moves lately, you might want to give this a try....

Lots of issues can lead to house soiling. New environment, stress, jealousy, fear, isolation, confusion, and on and on. Try to spend a lot of time with her and always try to make sure the box is available. Let her know it's not okay at all to do that and try to remind her often of your love and how okay the new place is. Check the pet store for this pheromone comforting stuff. When I first moved I had a roommate with a pissy dog and my 5.5 yr old started doing it too. Roommate left and occasionally she would still do it out of anger. Like if the bf and I left her home alone, but she had just been out to do both, she would squeeze out a little streak then go hide in back closet. It's so damn frustrating, but new environments take time to acclimate to and animals often feel anxious or out of place.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

I'm so glad she has settled down again. Cats are really good at letting us know when they're unhappy...and when they are happy again. Hers was definitely stress - and distress......and she obviously loves you as much as you love her.

    *hugs all round*...

(PS: 'Mittens' is such a wonderful name for a cat too...!)
