Personally, it is hard for me to work more than six hours. I feel my tolerance and energy quickly dying after six hours... To me, about 4-5 is optimal, during the busiest part of the night. How long is your shift, and what are your preferences?

6 hours is how long I'm supposed to be there but I prefer 4 to 5.
Too long. 7 hrs during the week and 8 hrs on the weekend.
I'm also a full time student so I try to use my school to my advantage to get shorter shifts. They'll let me leave at midnight if I have class in the morning the following day meaning I only have to work 5 hours instead of 7.

6-8 hours

4 hours usually.
i don't like to work when it's slow. it's depressing. if clubs were busy all the time, i'd be pulling 12 hour shifts no problem. if i work a 7 hour shift, but there's only customers for 4 of them, i don't want to be there.

It is depressing... and slow hours bring out the worst in strippers. I have had so many cutthroat bitches lately. They are always young/new dancers, and I have no problem pulling them aside and letting them know that isn't acceptable behaviorBut it still irritate me. When some girls get hungry they become assholes.
I worked 7-8 hours at a time...it was indeed difficult to keep my energy up for that long.

It was 8, though I was known to do 12 hours to bring home decent money. Moving on to a new club, though.

7 to 10 hours, usually
We have to stay for 5 hours minimum, which is okay but a little short. I like to do 6-7 hours, especially when it's earlier shifts because it takes me longer to get tired. If I'm working at night, I tend to stay for just 5 hours though.

Have to arrive at 9, club opens at 10, stays open until 5 but we have a 7am license so 10 hour shifts are common on the weekends. No wonder I get burnt out - our busy months I work 50 hours a week!!
^ Oh jesus...that hour between 9 and 10 had to be killer. Keeping yourself in hustle mindframe when you're sitting around the club waiting for it to open is brutal!

4 maybe 6 if I'm feeling super motivated. I definitely prefer showing up right when it starts getting wicked busy and just hitting the ground running. I make more money that way.
I like to party.. So I like my Jesus to party too.

Our shift requirements are 6 hours but I always stay for longer. It used to be way better for longer shifts, but now it varies. I try to work and make money and not worry about the min time.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

7 hours and I work a few doubles here and there. on day shift I just bullshit around and let customers hand me money. then night shift I sit on my ass until it gets packed and then I walk around making quick sales.

It depends on what I ate the day before

My club requires 5 hours, so I normally work anywhere from 5-7. Any more than that and I have a hard time coming in the next day.

ugh, so jealous. I work 10 hour shifts.![]()

Min of 6 hours... and I always feel really pumped afterward. The longest I work is 9. I'd say 7-8 is perfect.

I don't blame you! That's what used to happen to me at my old club (it would open at 6, but customers pretty much didn't start coming in until 8 or so). Especially as the recession hit...the club wouldn't start really getting people in it until 9 or 10. That would totally psych me out. I'd have to literally force myself to start talking to whomever was sitting at the bar, even if it was a dumbass club regular: just to help keep myself outside of my shell.
