    Default The perfect tank top

I'm on the hunt for the perfect tank top. Doesn't sag, grab all the right places (and not the wrong ones), not too see through, long enough to cover big boobs, in a variety of colours, racerback shoulder... price point sorta irrelevant as I'll be wearing a great one so often.

    So far I've tried:
a&f: too thin, long enough but white is VERY see-through, clingy, and easy to rip.
Jacob: Sags/stretches after 20m of wearing.
Aerie/American Eagle: Sags/stretches after an hour of wearing.
Garage/Dynamite: Decent but very short for us who are bigger than a C.
Forever21: too short for busty gals.
Urban Planet: Okay again but short.
    Aeropostale: Stretch out after 20m.
Smart Set: These are more camisoles than tank tops but they're okay - there's lace by the neckline and across the bottom though

I'm thinking about trying American Apparel next. What types of tank tops do you ladies wear?

Express had a couple of decent tanks and camis, and I believe one of them was racerback. I love how long all their tops are; I'm a 34DD and pushing that, and their tops often come down to my hips. Don't know if they still make them, though...check the website.

I like Victoria's Secret PINK tanks, the 2/$24 ones. They aren't tunic length, but long enough to layer under shirts.

H&M has the best tank tops IMO. Pretty much perfect in every way. They have a line called DIVIDED. Look into those, maybe.

Buckle.com has extra-long length tank tops, they are perfect for layering.

Express normally has a length that fits me well... whereas the brands listed by the OP as being too short are VERY long on me... so the Express ones might be way too short for her.

My longest tank top was picked up Aeropostale... I actually wear that one as a dress itc sometimes... and it doesn't stretch or sag even after being tugged on and off and on and off for hours.

Okay, so I'm trying Express and Target.com, I might swing by Old Navy next time I'm at the mall too....

The DIVIDED tank stretched out after wearing it for an hour.

VS Pink just opened flagships in Canada and they are good enough, so far my best choice. Long enough and too see-through, they might be my solution. They only have pastel-y colours available here but seriously I've been looking for so long I might need to settle a little

THANK YOU LADIES! I guess I have a long torso (never really noticed before) and my bewbies are kinda big (natural saggy Ds) so its been a struggle.

Seriously? I have had a Divided H&M tank top for literally over 6 years and it its still perfectly fitted. The fabric is slightly lighter in color and the material is softer now. I can wear them for 7 days straight and it will never become "stretched-out"... maybe dirty.... but loss of elasticity... that I'm unaware of.

I have them in pretty much every color and couldn't be happier. I know divided makes various styles of tank tops... loose fitted, racer-back, long, etc. maybe you snagged one that isn't the basic type?

I would purchase 100 of these if I ever found out they were being discontinued. They come in a bunch of colors and are the perfect length.

I get mine off Target.com but they sell out very quickly and it takes 3-6 weeks for them to be restocked in my size.
    Yup. Exactly. They are perfect.

I grabbed the only kind they had on a big rack at the front of the store - its kinda like the JACOB ones, the fabric is really thin and stretches easily. I'll go back and look more thoroughly, that sounds like what I need!! Thicker and more elastic and long.

Maybe I grabbed a looser fit one on second thought. If it skims my boobs it makes the rest of me look really fat (which I'm not, I'm actually fairly slim/hourglass).
