^Really?? Streamate doesn't do chargebacks as a policy, or have we just not heard of it happening to anyone yet? lol
I never heard of a site that doesn't do ANY chargebacks to the girls - even niteflirt will and I have witnessed this. A good friend of mine lost about $1k in sales there not too long ago due to chargeback.
tessarubyxoxo: somehow i ended up on SW's homepage.... then i clicked on "forums." & i was in fucking narnia.

^Obviously they consider chargebacks as part of the 65% they keep. Which is fine, and IMO the way it should be if a site is going to keep that high a cut.
I think I'd prefer a little higher cut though, and take the chargeback risk, because I think I'd end up with more profit in the long run, even if I lost a few sales due to chargebacks once in a while.

All sites (and online business's) are subject to cb's. Its whether they pass them to the models or not. Some sites have better protection than others.
Top 3 low risk sites for cb's:
SM/AW and MFC.
I have seen cb's on these 3 sites also but they are minimal compared to other sites.

Ive had chargbacks on both Adultwork , and MFC , Never once sm , Ive had my worst one ever on AW , ALmost 200 bucks =/ That guys gone though , So they will do high chargbacks , but the user can buy anymore
Americanmade18 on most sites.
IMLIVE is the worst for chargebacks, not that I've had a ton during my time there (largest was maybe $13) , it really depends on how often you are on. The more you work, obviously the greater the risk of CB's. One gal on there got sacked for almost a 1K one pay period!
They could be a site with no chargebacks if they stopped with all their prizes/model competitions, but they won't. I'd rather see prize money in ALL the model's pockets, in the form of no chargebacks and an extra 5 or 10% commission.

Every site has chargebacks its the nature of having an adult website, each website just handles chargebacks differently.

I've never had a cb on sm. From what I understand it is their policy. I think that is why guys are only allowed to spend a certain amount a day to protect them for the most part from this.

I asked SM about cb's before I signed the contract.
They do not pass on that cost to the models.
NO company should pass on that cost to the models.
For we have no control or the ability to fight those CBs.
Imlive can take the money out of your acct without a real explanation. Even if the cb was from a show you did 6 months ago.
I have worked a regular job where I did the billing and fought charge backs. NEVER ever did I lose.
Feel that if a model is going have money taken out of her check for a cb. Then she should have the right to fight it out with the credit card companies to prove that the show was done.
Credit cards companies make way to much money off of the online porn industry. Imlive has alot more power to fight these legit charges.
Plus, IMlive can just take money out of your check call it a cb and you will just have to trust them about the issue.
Naked also doesn't do cbs to the girls.
Always read the contract. Always ask for more than it offers. Way to many cam companies consider us disposable. But if you have a strong following, you have alot more power with the company.
I will always try to renegotiate my contracts once a year. If your making a company alot of money, they don't want to lose you to another cam company.
Good Luck,
Sam

There is a $50 minimum on chargebacks for all credit cards, so for them to pull $13 the guy had to have spent more money on other models as well (from his single actual charge for credit). THAT should make fighting it easy, but I doubt ImLive even tries to match the charge and usage to the guy reporting it as an "unauthorized" charge... to his card, that wasn't stolen, and used from his home, probably 3 days ago (before it was even on his statement).
I think cam sites should tell members that it's policy to return any funds via CHECK only. I'm sure lots of guys HAVE to call and do a chargeback when the wife finds out (or SHE calls and really is like WTF is this?).
Can't un-eat a meal ;p

^^ Yea from what I hear they have a certain limit but the more they are on and good with payment and no cbs or complaints their limit is increased over time.

I have never had a cb from streamate so I actually looked at their FAQ and it says this "Rest assured, we NEVER penalize our models for customer charge-backs/card declines; you will be paid either way for your performances."
Wow nice fucked up move. So not only are we paying you less but if someone wants to scam you we'll not pay you at all. ^ Wow they should be going down hill after that update lol ^
No kidding what sucks is the times that i was using that site there was hardly any traffic but I did notice that traffic was growing slightly when I put in the time being that they have xhamsterlivecams.com using them as a Whitelabel and a few others.
It is seriously no big loss but yes they just fucked themselves over ever getting that site going stronger. Unless they miraculously come to terms that just because Jasmin lowered their rates and went to a tiered scale, shouldn't mean that they have to follow. I can imagine that the "Lifetime Referral" program will probably be going, as well as the "model referral".
They could have saved so much money by NOT introducing their "Speak up campaign" which awards 3 hosts each pay period ($50 each) that are the most active on the forums there.
It quickly became a HUGE joke on there with the Same redundant posts from pretty much the same models. They could have used all that 150 dollars every 2 weeks to reward hosts who CONVERT guests to members rather than share nonsensical posts.
Wow. Well, that site is going the way of the dodo. I don't see anyone but studio performers sticking around and that's because they have no choice. Totally sounds like a desperation move because they're sinking and can't swim.
Maybe I'm naive, but there has to be a way that they can screen a customer for the likelihood that they'll steal shows. I know MFC isn't a good example, but by telling people that if they tip there's no refunds, period...I've never heard of a model having trouble in that department. And they're the Prince of freeloader sites, second only to LJ. I think it has a bit to do with consumer psychology. Like in retail, you get in the habit of gassing the patron head up and they get away with murder (i.e. returning items they bought years ago at a different franchise and receiving a cash refund).
So Naked doesn't so chargebacks? Does nayone work on Sexy? Perhaps you can shed some light on the current CB status over there?
Any other sites without chargebacks? I have an account with MFC and as you all know that's a hit or miss and for me, unfortunately it has been a miss, and AW has not verified my account. I applied for it in October and still nada. I sent them an e-mail, actually two already and re-submitted my ID several times. So I have to find somthing other than SM which has been a little slow for me.

camcontacts.com, camsathome.com , xmodels.be ,islive,nl, they dont pass chargebacks onto the models
