    Duh Awful Tan Lines!

    Hey Ladies,

I live and work in NYC but had a mini vacay in SoFlo this weekend. i'm pretty fair skinned but was excited to get out on the beach in the warm weather to work on a little bit of a tan. I was only out there for two hours (we had to return to the car before the meter ran out so I know it was no longer!) and I wore SPF 50 yet I still got BURNED, particularly on the back of my thighs, my butt, and parts of my back. After that first day out there (3 days ago), I haven't been back out at all and I've been slathering up in aloe but I'm still pretty red. It's improving but... meh, doesn't look good and I don't feel comfortable going to work like this.

My friend suggested getting a spray to help even things out and I'm considering it but I haven't ever had one and, as I mentioned, I'm pretty pale and worried about looking orange. I'm also worried about streaking as I work out a lot and also sweat sometimes when I'm up on stage.

Does anyone know what I should do? I'm at a loss here.

Oh, and, lesson learned- No more attempts at tanning for this girl!

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure about how to 'correct' the actual tan lines, but I do know that plain white vinegar will take the red right out. Sounds crazy, but google it. Myself and my boyfriend had a really bad burn experience at an outdoor music festival, even with SPF. We went and got a big bottle and soaked washcloths with it. Let them sit on your red skin for 10-15 minutes. Repeat a few times.

Also, for an all over burn, add a few cups to a lukewarm bath. Sit for a half hour or so. I've also done this before. By the next day I swear my redness was gone.

I don't post here often, but I have shared this with so many people so I hope it helps.

    Good luck!

Thank you! I've never heard of this trick but at this point, I'll try anything!
