    Dizzy Pleaser "spring-o-lator" shoes... HURT

I just got a new pair of Pleaser shoes called "spring-o-lators."

They have some sort of elastic in the sole that helps keep the shoe on your foot which does work BUT the plastic around the toes hurt!

I'm wondering if this is a defect because I have really skinny feet so this shouldn't be a problem. I don't know how someone with 'normal' width feet could even fit into them. Also I've never had this problem with other shoes.

Do you think it could be a defect or are they so tight because of the elastic in the sole?

I'm not sure if I should return them or keep them & wait for them to stretch out...

If you warm the plastic with a hair dryer, it helps stretch it out.

I have Pleasers (just regular ones) with a plastic strap like that and that thing is awful. The first few shifts I wore them, the part of my feet where the plastic ended would be cut up and painful. I tried blow drying them to stretch them out and have taken to only wearing them with socks so that the plastic doesn't dig in to my foot. I've had them for a couple of months so I'm sure by now I could wear them with bare feet as they feel more stretched out though.

Yeah this is the reason I've stayed away from the clear shoes and just stuck with black instead...sounds like OUCh!

I've rocked that style for years! (although with a different name.)

The plastic edges on the front can be knocked down with a nail file. To prevent chafing, I put spray deodorant on my feet, let it dry, and stick it in the shoe.

And of course, use your trusty hair dryer a couple times during your first few shifts with them.
