Surely some of y'all have tried out products designed (or not designed) to help you get a better hold up there. What did you try? How did what you tried work? And why don't more clubs have brass poles?

Mighty Grip is the shit! http://www.mightygrip.com/mightygrip-powder.htm

I used to work with a girl who sprayed windex on her hands and legs to help. She did some pretty insane stuff, so maybe there's something to it.

Prince grip - made for tennis rackets
I'm pretty sure this is just Mighty Grip with a different sticker on the bottle
I can't get Mighty Grip to work. You have to let it "melt" into your hands, since it's a thermoplastic. My hands just don't get warm enough to melt it. I usually let someone else use it first and get it all over the pole, then the pole is sticky for me too.
Pole grip aids come in 2 different camps.
Sticky and Drying.
Mighty Grip is sticky.
My favourite grip is Metolius Eco Ball. A HIGHLY drying powder. But not white like chalk.
I love love love Dewpoint on my legs when it's cold, or my skin is dry and flaky.
I also use alcohol gel on my hands to strip oils before I pole.
You can use windex, or vinegar too. You can also use them to clean the pole.
I wrote this page about grip aids: http://www.triagedesign.co.uk/wikipo...itle=Grip_Aids
I need to update it a bit with some new products... tomorrow's job!
I agree, Mighty Grip is Fabulous!
I bought both types of gloves. I use the non-tack gloves for work and the ones with tack for pole practice at home. They're uber cheap and well worth the investment. You probably don't need both pairs.

wiping down the pole then using mighty grip does work wonders.
