    Default Implants and lump?

Anyone ever find a lump in your breast that has implants? I just had a mammogram and it was negative, but now I'm noticing a lump. I don't think the lump was caused by the mammo. I have saline implants, so it's not like I have a gummy leaking.
My concern is going to get it checked. I'm betting they will want to do a needle aspiration. Hells no you're not going to put a needle by my implant.
Do you think I should find a ps and have them send me for a ultrasound? I don't live near the ps that did my implants.
My annual for my gyno is due at the end of May and my health ins. won't pay for it before it's been a year. I'm not overly concerned about the lump, but I'm hugely concerned about popping a tit. Not an expense I need right now.
I know some of you are going to say get it checked no matter what, but that's just not an option for me.
I really just want to know if anyone went through a similar thing and how it was handled. Thanks.

Don't saline implants have a valve? Could that be what you are touching?

I don't have breast implants however I did used to have lumps in my breasts all the time. At one point I had 16 at one time, 8 in each breast. Of course I'm not a doctor but for the sake of your implants I would say request the ultrasound. I went through about 5 ultrasounds (one every 6 months) until they finally started going away on their own. fibroid adenomas are quite common so that could be what is in your breast. One thing the doctor told me was not be overly concerned if the lump is moveable & didn't cause any pain. Of course get it checked but not to worry too much if you can move it.

The ultrasound should be quite accurate about detecting something abnormal. But as I mentioned I'm no doctor so be sure to ask yours for advice. Good Luck!

Argh. I guess I have to figure out who to go to. I hope my primary dr. can write me a referral for the ultrasound. I just had the mammo and they were dicks. You had to sign a waiver that it's not their fault if your tit pops. I really wasn't happy about doing that. You would think they could just offer ultrasound straight off the top if you have implants.
I don't think it's the valve b/c I can't feel the valve in the other side and I've had them 10 years. Plus it's towards the top middle of my breast. But that was a good idea.
