Get paid to make appearances and the like? People like Felix Cane and Alethea Austin?
Just curious if anyone knows.

Wow! I have always wondered the same exact thing=p I trid googling it once, but I didn't get the answers I was looking for, lOl.

I also wonder how much they get paid to perform for pole studios? I would so much rather do that than work in a club anymore.
And what about Dita Von Teese and other real burlesque dancers?? How in the world do you get into it?! lol
I know our features get paid 3 grand for a 4 night gig. I don't know if thats a norm or not, but they are also allowed to do dances and keep all their stage tips. However, I don't distinctly remember any professional pole dancers, its been mostly porn stars and other famous people.

I'd imagine Dita makes a lot, doesn't/didn't she have her own show in Vegas at one point? Professional, big-name burlesque is hard to get into and a very competitive business. Getting to be a 'lead' in a real burlesque show is probably right up there with becoming a lead in a Broadway play. You have to be the best, have the right management and connections, and work your ass off. I've read that Holly Madison (Hefners former #1 girlfriend) makes $25,000/night for Peepshow; I bet Dita makes twice that (as she seems much more 'legit' in the world of real strip tease).
I'm really curious about how much professional pole dancers make though! I wonder if it's in the hundreds, or thousands?

Dita Von Teese and Felix have good publicists. A good publicist can promote a performer to command really big $$. I'm still not sure how much Felix Cane is making, but I know she's paid quite well for doing Cirque du Soleil.
Anjel Dust was making $400 to feature at a local club in LA.
