    Default Pity dances?

Guys, do you, if so how often give a girl a pity dance?

Sometimes I notice a girl is well out of her league with the other dancers present, and is doing badly. Note, I am not talking about cracked-out skanks who are having their little spastic moments in public, but girls who are trying but having a bad night.

How may of you consider the pity dance? I don't ever phrase it that way, but I'll usually reserve at least 2-4 dances if the club isn't bustling and I notice someone like that (who doesn't seem to be milking it as her hustle, mind) and off we go. Gotten some of my better dances that way, turned out.

Though there was once where it was less pity and more emergency assistance. Took her for two dances (my minimum unless the girl turns out to be obnoxious or TOTALLY lazy) and she had the gall to try and charge me for four.

Dancers, on the other hand, are you ever moved to give a "pity dance?" Hot guy doesn't count. (I have an annoyingly gorgeous, charming and funny friend who regularly gets some time in the booths offered on the house, and a jaw-dropping number of phone numbers/emails out of it, but his kind doesn't count.)

Personally, I never gave out free dances, unless you count the ones I give my husband at home... and those don't tend to stay within the realm of dancing very long.

No cash, no flash- this includes flashing of boobs.

I dont know if I ever got pity dances.. I have had guys on the pressure point. Like group of 4+ of goes "X you go for dances, no why dont A go, hey B you go, C will for it" This generally happens with im the only girl at a group which I hate. I stopped talking to a whole group in generally and aim at 1 guy or go with another dancer. I dont know if this is pity or not, but all of those exps I had did get dances.

I never gave out pity dances.... Would you give out a free service? Sure it happens but not just for an average joe, there has to a connection, such a strong regular, where one dance wouldnt hurt, or for your SO (which doesnt count). But out of pity, never.

I don't know if it would be considered a ''pity dance'' but I have helped out where the lady has had a bad shift and didn't have tip out and was going to go home owing the club. Problem with this is that unless you were there to observe the entire work shift; sorta have to take them at their word that they have had a crappy day and owe the club.

Yeah, I've noticed more than one girl use the "lousy night" scam on 2-3 guys in a row, and gotten a chuckle out of it. Hey, if it works for them.

If I decide to improve a girl's night a bit, it's based on my observations.

(Of course, if I end up improving a girl's night a lot, that's probably based on her hustle.)

I get what I think are pity dances......I mostly get approached for them too. Guys will notice I've been being ignored on stage or getting turned down by everyone and will be like "Hey, come over here, I'll help you out" I dunno, maybe they really are into me, maybe not. I can't tell! I have a hard time reading people.

Never. I work too hard for my money to spend it on women who don't genuinely turn me on.

A bit of a surprising trait in a dancer, since I'd think reading people (well, the "male" subset of people) would be a work-related skill you'd pick up quickly.

Chances are if you're getting lots of dances that you suspect are pity-inspired, either they're not an men are genuinely attracted to you, or you have an untapped talent for that sort of hustle!

If I'm ever in your town (wherever that is) I promise I'll drop by and give you an informed opinion.

Nope. I never hustle that way, not now nor in stripping. Lots of shitty sales people do the pity hustle. Just not my style, and I can't recall a custy ever seeming to get dances because he felt sorry for me. Then again, I think I was on the sexy side for a stripper...maybe not a Playboy model...but always looking fine and toned and cute and energetic.

But some custs like the pity hustle, the white knights. I've known tons of girls who have gotten mad gifts and huge cash "loans" using it.

Now that is territory I would not explore. It's one thing for me to have the impulse to improve a girl's bottom line if she seems like she's getting the short end (and I'm not any sort of white knight, I certainly draw the line at skanky or otherwise "shouldn't be in this business" sorts), another to turn into one of those sorts that I would unhesitatingly label pathetic loser.

When younger, roommate's friend worked two jobs, and one of his paycheques went pretty much directly to the local seedy peeler bar. "I feel like I can really talk to these girls" was his usual justification. Yeah, they're hanging on your every dollar, hon. Gifts, including trips to lingerie stores to pick stuff out for his favourites du jour (and yeah, you want a twentysomething guy whose only real experience with women is strippers picking that sort of thing for you), dropping by just to say "hi," etc. I told him they'd probably prefer cash, and consider that more thoughtful, but that didn't fit his fantasy.

I fell off of the stage once and a guy proceeded to get a champagne room with me. Perhaps that was a pity dance haha.

Haha, oh yeah, that reminds me. My heel broke on stage once and I fell on my ass, really hard. Literally half the club customers came up to tip me after that, just throwing money at me...I was on the ground not hurt, and laughing so hard. Pity tips? I'll take em!

My bf comes into the club where I work sometimes and all the girls are all over him constantly and he gets free dances all night. Boggles my mind. Like hello?! WTF are you people doing?! I will NEVER understand free dances. If I'm not charging I might as well stay home.
Sorry I missed church. I was too busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian.

Do you get along with these girls? Are you sure it's not their way of trying to tick you off?

    (I kid, mostly.)

Maybe it's just the lure of the unattainable. Kind of the way straight folks of either gender can get it in their heads that so-and-so won't still be gay after they've rocked their bedroom world!

Once I start getting pity dances when I don't have money, I'll start buying them when I do.
