Default settling into a new club

how do you go about settling into a new club? i see some girls who just talk with mama, the dj, bartenders etc. i've never been that girl, i've always sorta been on the outside of that. personally i don't really trust them/ i've known a lot of mamas that are just hella shady. i try to be nice but i don't really put much of my business out there, and but i feel like i get kinda dissed for it. plus when things are running slow and you need folks to talk to so customers never see you sitting by yourself they are good to use in situations like that. how do go about making friends with them? maybe some type of command interest? i have no idea.

I tend to keep to myself when I'm new at a club, but not in a bitchy way where I come off as thinking that I'm better than everyone else. I'll smile at the other dancers and employees and make small talk if they start it, but I don't go out of my way to chit chat. There are other ways of looking busy, and you can get stuck in conversations with staff while there are customers willing to pay you for your time out there.

Small talk with staff can go a long way, and simple, "hi, how are you?" can generally start a chit chat. Never disregard the staff, because if they know you and if they like you, and know where the money is, they might as well point the money in your direction.
