    Default permanent eyeliner tattoo experiences

    Hiya,

I love the look of dramatic black eyeliner, but I SUCK at doing it myself. I practice all the time but I honestly don't think I'll get it right. It takes me over an hour to get it looking half decent. I just don't have very good fine motor control.

I never would have considered permanent makeup tattoos. I always associated them with senior citizens, but mainly the eyebrow and lip liner permanent make up. But I googled some options and the eyeliner actually looks pretty good!

    examples of permanent makeup

You have to scroll through to get to eyeliner because they do eyebrow and lips. And nipples interestingly for women who have had breast enhancement I guess?

I wouldn't get the lower eye lid done. Just the upper lid. I straight brown hair with blunt bangs. So I think it would enhance that pin-up/Domme look, which is what I do everyday anyway.

What do you think. Would it be a gigantic mistake?

The thing about permanent makeup tattoos is you are stuck with it. What if one day you don't want it? Then you have to go through a laser procedure to have it removed, which is painful. I was watching a show about pple who had tattoos and wanted them removed. They said it was very painful, and wished they never got the tats. I think eyeliner tats would look good, but just think about the future. Do you want it forever?

Everyone told me not to go ahead with it and not one single person I asked was supportive of it. So I decided not to go. Finally i said screw it I want it and went ahead with it and am DAMN happy with the results. No, I dont look like a clown and I dont look like I have a shit ton of makeup on. It looks AMAZINGLY natural like I almost have nothing on. I just got the eyeliner. Then I loved it SO MUCH I went back for eyebrows and lipliner, both of which came out better than i expected. when i told a few girls at work they could NOT believe it she grabbed my hand and brought me to a bunch of other girls and was like omg look how beautiful it is! they could not believe it either. I am happy X1000000000000 but you prob will want everything done if you like your eyeliner. But I did SO SO much research before getting it done! The most important thing is finding a GOOD professional artist with a portfolio that you like! I also found a forum by googling Permanent makeup forum and read every single thread on there, of people sharing their experience. Some almost scared me off but im glad I did in the end. If you do go for it let us know how it goes!

My nail lady actually tries to talk me into this all the time- one of her relatives does it in china town, PA... but I don't know, she got hers done and it looks really nice actually.. I guess as long as you don't get it done extra dark it's okay... because you wouldn't want to be stuck looking like a woman of the night when you are 60.. But I have had women come up to me a LOT asking how I put my eyeliner on, and the best advice I can give is to soften up the pencil first by rubbing it around on your finger and then run the pencil along the water line of your eyes, instead of outside the eye or along the bottom lashes. And even if I get some on the outside (even if it's a lot!) I just wipe it until it forms the look I want. I don't recommend liquid eyeliner for the bottom- because most of it will sting the hell out of your eye. But I use the liners that are actually pencils- not the mechanical types, and not liquid. Or, if you hold a lighter up to the end for about 2.5 seconds til it melts a little- and then apply it to your waterline- that also works pretty well.

The tattoo thing could work though, the woman who does my nails, hers looks very natural and not overly done at all. I always wanted to get my eyebrows done- but I don't want to have to dye my gray hair , brown, when I'm old.

Damn those eyebrows look good. I'm going to have to find someone to give me those, because they are beaaaautiful. I've always thought the eyebrow makes the face, and those women with those nonbrows suddenly getting superbrows proves it.

Actually those examples look really good, and natural! I'm not sure I would do it, but it certainly looks better than what I have seen before! Nice.

I love eyeliner as well and I wear it whenever I wear any kind of make up. To me, though, it takes 2 mins to apply it, because I have a pretty steady hand, so it's not a hassle. But even if it was, I don't think I would dare to make it permanent, simply because someday I want it Audrey Hepburn thick and someday I just want a thin line, so I feel I'd be very limited by it.

Maybe it's not a bad idea for you if you're sure you want it to be just THAT permanent. I'm not knocking it down, just saying what would stop me from going for it, even though I always wear it.

Btw, I noticed the eyeliner brush makes a huge difference when it comes to application. Some are too hard and some too bendy for easy applying. Best I used was Chanel, the hardness of the brush was perfect for me. Before you decide, maybe you can try another brand or something, to see will it make it easier. If you decide to go for permanent solution, I hope it looks awesome!

I have attached a pic of me that was taken friday night of this week, its not the best photo to show the makeup but you can still see it.. I will edit and remove the pic soon but I just wanna show what it looks like! The only makeup im wearing in the pic is a little extra eyeliner in the corners and lipsmacker (no colour just lip moisturizer but the lipliner definition always shows off my lip colour which I think is natrually nice)

    I had it done.

Even tho it's "permanent", it will not stay forever. It fades.

No one can tell I had it 15 yrs later.

Personally I say don't bother but not because of the reasons some suggest such as you're stuck with it forever or you look like a clown, but because it's painful, fades, and IMO a waste of money.

But if it's really that hard for you to apply your own eyeliner, are willing to stomach the pain and don't mind the $$$ then by all means...

Thanks for the input and the picture TequilatoKillYa I will definitely research it a lot more before I even consider getting it done.

@ilmisssunshine You are right that it is expensive. Experienced tattoo artists with good portfolios are charging $600 + for eyeliner. But I guess I waste a lot of money redoing my eyeliner again and again because I'm so bad at doing it;p

And you are also correct that it fades. You would have to go in for maintenance every 2 -5 years I think if you want it to still 'pop'. So it isn't like you would be 80 years old with thick cat eye black eyeliner from that one tattoo

Although if you think of all the other people our age who have tattoos, having permanent dramatic eyeliner will be the tamest tattoo at the old age home when we are all 80!

I think things over for months before deciding. But your comments have helped a lot. Thanks

I have no lip colour, that is my natural lip colour. My makeup artist said I have an amazing lip colour and to not colour them but just to get a liner to enhance them, which is what I did, but the lipliner makes me very happy! thanks BBWChannel

And yes lip liner or lipliner+ colour fades in 1-5 years and eyeliner and eyebrows 5-10 years average, which is good because as your face ages your face sages for lack of a better word and you want to get it redone to match your face. It is fairly expensive if you get it done by a good artist but I wake up feeling good go to the gym, swimming., beach, etc always looking like I just applied makeup! so worth it IMO!

My aunt had black eyeliner done on her top lashes maybe ten or so years ago. It's faded so much you can't tell anymore.

It does fade after a few years; hers had more of a blue tone after a while, instead of black..

eyebrows WILL fade to blue or green after years when the highest quality pigment is not used thats why you need to make sure and ask what kind of pigment she/he uses, do your research!

Bella, baby, you know I love you. But no. Just no. What if one day you need to switch up your look? Permanence = lack of options. I'm always one for keeping my options open. Just. In. Case.

I say 100% go for it. The only reason I could think of to not do it would be if you were planning something drastic, but you're not; what you are wanting is super basic and not at all something I think you would ever regret. My favorite high school teacher's eyebrows were singed off (that's a humorous story for another time) so she got eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipstick - and she was in her late fifties and the effect was still very natural and we didn't know it until she told us! I don't think you would regret it, and if it saves you time and money and you do your research, I don't see any problem with it!!! go for it

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides maybe this time is different
I mean I really think you like me

One of the owners of a restaurant I used to work in had this done. She had the eyeliner and the lip liner.
I always thought she looked so good and I had no idea it was a tattoo until I was told.

I just had my eyeliner done for the third time (I wanted to go more bold and started out really conservative), and finally did my brows and even lips. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I can really only recommend it, and you can make it as natural or bold as you want. My lips dont look tattooed, just like they have a nice rosy color.

HOWEVER: Make sure you don't get tattooed a week or so before or during your period-the first two times I didn't feel a thing, whereas the third time was painful. The lady told me (afterwards of course) that you are more sensitive during this time, and it did make a huge difference for me. Like I said, the first two times I didn't feel a thing.

    DO it!
I had the ends of my eyebrows done.
My mom has eyeliner and lipliner.
After laser hair removal, this is the best thing i've done for myself.
The key is to find someone that can make it look NATURAL. You will be amazed.
For the eyeliner, you can get it very close to your lash line (almost in between the lashes). It will make you look like you have no makeup, just fuller lashes.
And yeah, like you said, no lower lid tattoo, never!

Wow, lots of girls have had experience with this! My aunt had it done and she does have to keep redoing it every few years. It turns kinda greenish after a while, just like an old tattoo. I don't think it looks super fantastic or anything but it looks ok. You wouldn't know it's a tattoo unless you see her as much as I do and eventually notice that it looks exactly the same every day.

She DID say that it's really painful to get it done and hers is sometimes kinda blotchy b/c she flinches when she gets it done so you may want to consider popping half a vicodin or something when you get it done ( b/c it seems like you're already committed) so that you're mellow and don't flinch.

I have had eyeliner tattoo both upper and lower for 5 years and I am still so happy about it. It makes my eyes bigger and brighter but it does fade in 5 years and I am thinking to get a new one soon.
