    Default Tan or Not?

Ehh , I start this week.
And im white.. as a virgin on there wedding day?

Haha anywho , ive already spent quite a bit on getting ready
to go to the club , this club is a higher standards club , and
i dont want to look unprepared.
I currently look very untoned due to the paleness ,
and you can see every little cut and bruise on my body.

    So what would you do?

it sounds like tanning will make you feel better about your minor imperfections (which we all have) if you feel like that is the case then I say go ahead and tan. Typically tanning does help reduce the appearance of flaws so maybe it will help you to not worry as much. :-)

I have platinum blonde and think tan skin looks...ugh, dirty next to white hair. lol that's just me though. I think the gwen stefani look is much classier.

If you MUST get some color to hide some untoned bod parts and bruises (I consider it on occasion myself!) Spray tan. Don't sacrifice your future for a few days of golden skin.

Yes I know that sounds dramatic but rays are a major "age you FAST" factor!

I used to have white blonde hair (natural) and am now a redhead and I refuse to tan. I tried the bottle/spray tan a few times in high-school and thought..., "eh"... but as far as the club goes, I rock the pale look. I'm one of the only girls to not have a tan and guys dig it because it sets me apart and they're always talking about how great it is that I'm allowing my body to be natural and not doing fake shit to it. I sell a lot of dances using the "wholesome" I'm so real approach.

The dim club lighting is VERY forgiving, especially for minor imperfections like that. If, however, you'll feel more confident with the tanned look, then it'll be worthwhile since a confident stripper will likely do better than one who is incredibly nervous and self conscious the entire shift.

yeah I would spray tan then, if you notice that you look un toned and see your bruises. You don't want to think about things that make you feel self conscious when you are doing your thing. Im sure you look great but do what will make you feel awesome.

I would tan. I'm a fan of DIY self tanner like St Tropez & Sun Laboratories, they do a great job, and they're way cheaper than spray tans.

If you have a decent body... you can stick with pale.
Otherwise, you look like a fat, jiggling slug rolling around on the stage.

Personally, I think everyone should have at least a slight tan... it just looks a little better in the club light than deathly pale.

    I didn't vote.

Just joined, I take it you are already hired? If so, do what you want.

If you feel hotter tan, be tan. If it will boost your confidence, do it. $$$$

I have fair skin and think it's beautiful and sexy. Rock your look, whatever it is.

I think it really gets down to the levels of pink or yellow in your skin and youre physical make up. I don't tan and most guys who get dances with me comment on my light skin. I am a mix so my skin is kind of yellowy anyhow so i *thankfully* don't look pasty. It also looks really dramatic with my jet black hair and raccoon eye makeup It's just the right amount of edgy to still be marketable.

Oh, whatever. Don't listen to what another dancer says you need or don't need. She's not your friend.

Just experiment to see what works for you. You will get better at the self-tanners if you go that route. And the club light means it doesn't have to be perfect.

I quit tanning in a tanning bed several years ago for health and aging reasons. In all honesty whether or not I am tan does not affect my earnings. I don't like spray tans because they stink, be it from the store or professional and it stains your clothes. It also sweats off easily onto light colored outfits and bras. I've tried them all too.

If I do tan, I just lay outside for about 30 minutes with no tanning lotion or SPF and do that for three days to get a little color. I don't use SPF because I have found that I burn quicker with it on. The guys kinda like the tan lines so sometimes I do it just for that reason alone. I'll do this every once in a while, not on a weekly basis. I hold color very well though, so I don't need to do a whole lot.

But like the other girls said, do what you think you should do. Confidence is one of the main keys to success in making money in the club, tan or no tan.

I get an airbrush spray tan....I don't like the booths; it's never even. I only get 1 coat done b/c I'm Italian and any more than 1 coat makes me look like a Jersey Shore cast member. hahaha!!!

I used to spend so much time/effort trying to stay tanned with sunbeds and fake tan, but I quit last summer working in Spain when I decided I didn't want to look like everyone else. Plus one of my friends who has tanned all her life now has horrible wrinkles all over her belly, and she's only 28.
I now use anti-aging moisturiser with SPF everyday.

I love the victorias secret self tanner. I think that by far it smells the best out of those ive tried. it doesn't rub off and leaves your skin feeling pretty silky.

I'm very toned and very slim so tanning is not neccessary for me plus i think it works better with my facial features. I think you gotta rock whatever skin tone looks best for you and not what looks good on others, cuz what looks good on one person would look ridiculous on someone else.
