Was looking at WWE's "Tough Enough" on TV last night when they were announcing the contestants. One of them was Miss USA Rima Fakih.

Really? I didn't remember any of them being around for years. *_*
I was thinking more like a couple of months... Lol Guess maybe I'm wrong.
I liked Maven, too... but they never did anything interesting with him at all. So it was sort of like "well what's the point in winning... to only fight matches no one really cares much about?"
I didn't know the Miz got on via tough enough, either.
I don't think he counts though... since that guy's had his own persona going on for YEARS... and Maven was just normal-guy-Maven. Lol
Maybe that's the trick? You have to come up with something on your own... and they'll work THAT into the story line... but otherwise... you can basically piss off and no one will write you in more interesting than you are.
She might not be able to wrestle.............
but you should see her box!

I'm surprised they're making her tryout through "Tough Enough" instead of signing her up directly to WWE, unless the decision has already been made that she is going to be selected. They signed up Snooki without a tryout, but not Miss USA?

I don't understand how a show that targets young male adults would not want to give her a guaranteed contract.

Maybe because there's nothing at all sexy about women beating the shit out of each other? I do think it's kind of sexy when a woman knows how to fight, but the last thing I want to see her do is beat up another woman. Some guys are into that shit, I know, but I think it's fucking weird, and a total fucking turnoff.
I've never seen the show so I have no idea who those other people are.

Perhaps to make her seem more legitimate?
It's not like we don't all know that it's fake... but by making her go through the show, they make it look like she actually took the time to learn how to to "fight" and perform all the moves correctly... which makes it a little easier for them to allow her to win matches without pissing the fans off.

She was one of the bottom three today. We'll have to see if she can pick it up. I would still be surprised if she gets eliminated.
