so if i make one for advertising my camming stuff, can i put a sorta discalimer on it for over 18's only and copyrighting the centent and what not? if i dont have any actual nudity on the pages within teh site, will this be allowed or will they delete it? its just i made one, and loved it, but read in the terms no nudity etc, was just wondering if they didnt allow cam girls to advertise there panties, pic sets and DVD's?

When I wanted to create my new site there I contacted support and they said they will not and do not allow adult content. The guy also said they close the adult sites as they find them. A girlfriend of mine had her escort site there. It was very very vague and it was shutdown within a week. I'm guessing one of the haters reported her.

i already looked on wix, and did my own research as u call it, and came across someone saying that as long as there was a disclaimer for age limit, anything within the site would be ok. so i was slightly confused and wanted to ask here, after all this is a forum for help, and discussions.

I bought a domain name in Nov for my escort site. I have no clue wtf I'm doing, so I'll give you the rundown. I opened accounts (using my domain name, but not actually linking to it any of these) at wix, wordpress and blogger. I just wanted to get a feel for each platform to see which one I liked the best. I truly suck at this website building thing, and have only made a page or two at each site...and I haven't advertised them at all. I really liked the wix platform, but as the other girls here have said, it is not good for organic web searches, so I hung that one up...although it was my favorite. I can't remember where I read that at, I think I was just googling to try to find out about it, and that same result came up often.

I hadn't logged on, or touched wordpress or blogger for about 2 months, up until last week. I decided on my own to go with wordpress (and now that I see that's what TG uses, I know I made the right decision, lol...welcome back and thank you!)

My question now is, why do you use hostgator to host and not wordpress? I thought I could link my actual domain to wordpress, and use that for everything...hosting too? Am I missing something here?

it's true, most Flash is terrible for search engines, because usually all the information is in the Flash file and none of it is available in the source code, so Google can only see "flashfile.swf" instead of that plus all the text on your page.

1. Wix has changed the way they code and now all the text you input in your page is crawlable by Google - simply go to a Wix site, go to your browser options to "view source code" (in Google Chrome it's Ctl+U) and you will now see the text on the page written in the code, therefore search engines will pick it up - I believe they have finally implemented CSS and HTML into their site writing process, which is fantastic.

now I picked some text on the page that would normally be just in the Flash file and not in the script, like "easy to use drag & drop editor". I got to the source code and search for that phrase, and I found it!

what does that mean? any text you put into the Wix editor IS searchable by Google and other search engines.

2. BUT it is well-known that Flash doesn't work on the iPad and many many many other devices, so I would recommend this only as a short-term solution - technology is moving away from desktops and laptops, and toward more portable devices, and Flash will never be a streamlined way to view a page on a smaller device.

Yup! Flash does not work on mobile phone and A LOT of clients (escorts) use their phone to access our sites. Leyla, A lot of escorts use escortsite.com but the site is just plain tacky. Some of them use moonfruit but the site is just damn tacky. I say let them learn on their own. I'm against all those cookie cutter sites and I am against flash. Wordpress is amazing for SEO! Wait.. no.. wordpress is just amazing.
