Default Gluing a garter in place?

I have a small *Birth Mark* (eww) on my thigh , right where the garter goes, i was consider gluing it in place, or maybe taping it so it wont move from this spot,
Its far to dark to cover with makeup , but i could get a rub on tattoo to place over it.
    (thinking hearts on matching sides).
Its not "God Awful" but its not beautiful either.
What do you think? Any other creative ideas?

    What?!? Okay...hold up.

I know you are really focusing on making sure you look your very best for the cluh...but this is just crazy. You have a birth mark You're human. Who cares? Guys will probably never notice it! (Especially if its small enough to be covered by a garter!!).

While I understand your self-criticism (I too am my own biggest critic), you really should lay off yourself a bit. I worry you are overanalyzing every millimeter of your body and THAT would drive anyone crazy.

It's been said a million times before, and I will say it again because it is SO true: the biggest factor in making money as a dancer is your confidence. You have to own your look, not worry about every little thing. Sure, if you want to get a spray tan to look more toned, go for it. But gluing a garter to your leg to cover a birthmark is too much.

I say this with love and concern because I have been following your threads. Please don't take it the wrong way. You need to just love yourself and get out there and rock it!

one more thing...i imagine a guy coming to stage to tip you...he tries to stick the money in your garter and realizes it's GLUED to your body.

ETA: I bet you'll be surprised how many men will think this perceived imperfection is "cute." Seriously.

You pretty much just beat me to my reply! lol

ALSO I will add...use it to your advantage. When your with potential regs especially. Tell them it's "something your slightly self conscious about and don't show everyone (or something like that) it will make them feel like you are sharing something intimate with only them. Plus if guys notice, it's something that will make you stand out and they will remember.

For real. I have an actual deformity (pectus excavatum; an inverted breastbone) that I *hate*...and I get guys telling me all the time that it makes me beautiful and unique. A birthmark is nothing to worry about, they're going to love it.

Gotta believe in yourself! Good luck.

I am going to say if it bothers you cover it. I have only wore garters for a week or two in my entire dancing career because I wasn't a nude dancer and it seemed dumb to me. Even now that I have worked at a nude club I still didn't use a garter. Well, in February I dropped a hot curling iron on my leg right where a garter goes. I have been rocking them for months now. The burn is slowly fading and only slightly darker than my skin, but when I don't wear it I feel flawed. Also, people ask about it when it's not covered since I dance to bright lights unlike all the other girls who dance in dark. Don't glue it. Get a garter that is slightly bigger than a standard one. Like get one that has a ruffle, lace or try the wider sequin ones. I feel funny without it and until it fades completely I'm going to keep rocking it. How you feel about yourself is important even if others don't know or notice. If it bothers you do something about it so you'll have one less thing to be worried/concerned about.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

That seems like way more trouble than it's worth. Guys don't care about that sort of thing in a SC... they're all about the titties, the ladyparts, and how hot you are *overall.*

I've gone to work with all kinds of eyesores... once, my cat managed to scratch me all over one of my boobs, and I went to work anyway. Still made $$$. I actually met one of my regulars with a scratched up boob, go figure.

If you're really worried about it, maybe try using a tattoo concealer, like the one by Kat Von D. They're supposed to be a lot stronger than regular makeup. I think you'd be fine letting it show, but your confidence is what matters.

sometimes when I have a thigh high that tears, I cut of the huge lacy band that holds it up and use that as a garter. Depending on where it is on your thigh, you could potentially just use two "garters" that from a distance make it look like thigh highs and it could cover your birthmark if you're that worried. Is it raised or flat?

Just chiming in to agree with everyone. Don't worry about a birthmark. I have an evil puppy right now, and my forearms are usually covered in scratches and bruises. I also walked into a ledge at work last week and got a huge bruise on my upper thigh. Not one guy has made a comment or even noticed either.

Unless it's on your boob, butt, or vagina no guy will notice. And even if he does, what on earth do you think will happen? "OMG, she has a birthmark on her leg!!!!!!! I have never seen a birthmark before!!!!!! No money for her!!!!!!!"

Don't worry about it, Go and make that money.
