Default Your Supernatural & Spooky Experiences

On another forum I frequent there was a thread on supernatural experiences that most of us have had.

I am starting to believe that a large majority of us have been familiar with this although a large percentage of the population is reluctant to talk about, and for good reason. We are feared of being ridiculed, made fun of for not being scientific and logical, or labeled mentally disturbed.

SO let's share all the freaky paranormal stuff that logic reason and science can't necessarily explain. I want to hear it all!

Let's hear all the ghost stories, demons, astral projection, omens, paranoia, premonitions, aliens, angels, astral projections, etc.

it would mean so much to me to know that im not the only one experiencing these things!

i will be adding my stories throughout this thread as well

    One example:

    I Always take omens seriously.
when I was 7, me and my grandma stayed at my uncle's farm for the first time. In the evening (a few hours before we went to bed) my grandma saw a menacing shadow figure slide against one side of the room and then it dissapeared. It really gave her a fright and a bad premonition came upon her! That night a bunch of teenage boys (that apparently had a problem with my uncle, but didnt know it at the time) threw a huge rock (5-7 lbs at least is what it weighed) through the bedroom window. My grandma's bed happened to be underneath that window and the rock could've potentially killed or hurt her really bad. She woke up in the morning with the rock sitting on top of her chest! the rock went THROUGH the window and safely landed on her chest without hurting or bruising her at all. the area around her head was covered with glass from the window but none of it hurt her.

Default Re: Your Supernatural & Spooky Experiences

    I've got a couple.

Like five years ago, I was working as a CSSR at a large call center about 30-40 minutes from my apartment (if there was no traffic), and I worked the 3:30 p.m. to midnight shift. The most direct route by far was a lot of back roads, and they were always deserted at night. So one night I'm driving home, and on this really isolated stretch of road there's suddenly this car that's stopped more or less in the middle of the road--like jutting out into the middle at a weird angle, but not damaged in any way, and no sign of people or any other cars. So I start to slow down to go around it, and suddenly out of the blue this guy jumps out from behind the front of the car, where he'd been crouched down hiding, and grabs for my passenger door. But the door was locked, and I gunned it and he fell in the middle of the road and rolled a few times.

The thing is, I NEVER lock my car doors when I'm in the car. And my car doesn't have the automatic thing that locks the doors whenever I go over a certain speed. And I swear to god that the instant the guy jumped out at my car I heard the locks activate, and I didn't touch the button for it. It was a little unnerving, but I didn't freak out or anything. I was more surprised at my lack of a reaction.

Another story, somewhat similar. A few months later, I was at my apartment, which I lived in with my then-boyfriend Kyle, my dog, and my couch bum named Liam. Liam and Kyle had gotten in this fight and Kyle had kicked him out, and I guess Liam had stormed out without getting any of his stuff. Kyle had gone out too, and I was left at home alone. It was around 11 p.m. or so, and I went and had a shower, and then lay butt-naked in the middle of my living room floor watching AVP on TV. Then I hear the knob on the front door jiggling, and I jump, but I figure it was Liam coming in to get his stuff--and it wasn't a HUGE deal that he see me naked, I'm fairly sure he'd seen it before. But nobody comes in, so I get up and look out the peephole, and there's this total stranger outside, trying to break into my apartment. Like ramming the door with his shoulder and shit. And that's when I notice that not only is the door locked, but the deadbolt is on, too. And I NEVER locked my apartment door, not even when I left the place. I didn't even carry a key for it. It was kind of a casual hangout--people would just sort of come in whenever they felt like it. So it would never have occurred to me to lock the door--it certainly wasn't a habit of mine or anything. So the guy tries to break in for another minute or so, then goes and breaks into the apartment next door, which happened to be vacant. And like thirty seconds later he goes running out of it and goes into the woods.

So, once again, I certainly didn't lock the door--but there it was, locked AND deadbolted. I figured the gods were looking out for me.

I've also woken up in my bed and looked out my open bedroom door, which faces the stairs, and seen a very large, very bright orb of white light floating on my stairs, which was probably one of THE creepiest things I've ever seen. It was so bright that for a second I though it was someone standing on the stairs shining a flashlight into my room into my face, which would have been creepy enough. But after the light went out and I got over my temporary paralysis, I jumped up to investigate. No one in the house was up, and there weren't any mirrors or anything that maybe would have reflected passing headlights or something onto the stairs. Remembering it still gives me the shivers.

I have a lucky pair of silver hoop earrings that I bought a couple of years ago, and whenever I wore them I have an exceptionally good day. I wore them at work once and only once, but one of them got pulled out at one point and it was only by sheer luck that one of the other dancers found it under one of the chairs and gave it back to me. So I decided not to risk them at work again. Once, when I first started dating my fiancee, we went out, and I KNOW I was wearing both earrings, because I remember playing with both of them at dinner. We go driving around, go to his place, and after sex I realize that one of my earrings is missing. Initially I figure it's in the bed somewhere, and we execute a quick search, but to no avail. I'm slightly upset in case it fell out in public somewhere, but I'm hoping Joe will find it in his room, or I'll find it in my car. In fact, I move my seat back in my car and check everywhere, but I can't find it. I drive home, feeling dejected, go upstairs, and on the middle of my very clean desk in front of my computer is the other earring. It made no sense, because I KNEW I had worn it out. But there it was, the first thing I saw when I came into the room. Now they are my REALLY lucky earrings.

I have a few other stories, but I'm getting sleepy, so I think I'll post them tomorrow.

I know lots about the east european folklore due to my culture and such, but never heard of the domovoi.

Anyway, I was 16 or so, I fell asleep on the couch of my parents house. (Im dreaming all of this, but it felt too real, so it in my dream - I hear loud banging noises, and I mean LOUD over and over again. I open my eyes and look around the house and nothing. So I go back to "sleep", noises come again, walls being hit all over, from upstairs, from the side, near me, things being thrown around etc, I was too scared to open my eyes (remember Im still dreaming ha - this is all a dream, but yet again, felt too real and my dreams are never like that). So I keep my eyes closed and try going back to "sleep", but the noises just get too loud. They stop and I check out the house again, parents are asleep, dog is asleep, no one is making noise. And these noises were loud banging, shaking breaking the house down! I walk into the kitchen and see a small like figure with hair all over, and he runs and sneaks into the stove.. Ya I know, Im nuts ha.

I finally wake up (now Im not dreaming). Creeped out, I actually check the house out, and felt like I wasnt even dreaming and go to my bed to sleep. I fall asleep (Now im sleeping, but it felt like I wasnt), and the noises shack up again, running, pans banging, stove making noise... walls being hit from downstairs, upstairs, running around... Ugh. I tried to fall "asleep" and just keep my eyes closed cause I was freaked out. I wake up (actually wake in the morning), the following night I didnt sleep at all cause I was scared. I did fall asleep for a few hours and the same thing happened, this time the weird hair figure went into the chimey and hid. The day I wake up and put on a cross (I always did when I was younger when my I get weirded out or if something bad happens etc), and the follow night, I slept like a baby. I told my mom about it, and she said theres something called the domovoi, I read about it on the net - never saw or heard about it in my life even though its my culture - and it looked exactly like that!

I posted my stories in the "Creepiest Moments" thread...

However, when I lived in Guam (my dad was in the Navy) we became friends with the locals and they are very religious there. They told my mom that I have "the eyes". Meaning I could see/communicate with spirits. I will say that I believe that. I have closed my mind off to many things but I honestly believe that some things want to communicate with me. I've seen a ghost (this was in Guam), I used to hear voices when I was younger and my grandpa used to talk to a Spirit named Sue. I put this in the other thread but.... Yeah people thought he was nuts because in the middle of the night my grandpa would be sitting on his bed having a conversation with "Sue". Eventually it just kinda became something he did. Well a few years down the road this lady comes to my grandparents house and asks if they can dig up the garden because many years ago when she lived there she buried her daughter Susan's ashes there... Yep. Grandpa wasn't so crazy after all.
When my family lived in S. Carolina my mom woke up in the middle of the night and saw in her bedroom doorway, a tall dark figure that looked like a big black man in cover all's and a straw hat. The house we lived in was very old so she thinks it was the spirit of a slave. I think my family has some sort of sensitivity to the deceased energies..

gonna check out that thread too.

My ex boyfriend rents his aunts house and when he first got it, there were spirts in there, we stayed there the first night and when I walked in I could feel spirts, I told mu ex this and he was like "shutup" when walking past the spare bedroom I felt this really erie feeling, I told him to close the door but the lock was broke, we went to his room and I told him to close the door he did then a moment later the door swung open!, it wouldnt stay shut no matter what, we had to stay there that night but hardley slept, a few weeks later he had to get someone to get the spirts out, they said someone had done voodoo in the house was scary!

I once stayed in a haunted hotel while working away up north once!, my friend got there the night before and said something had sat on her chest while she was sleeping, then another girl said she felt something that night too, anyway after talking about this it was time to get ready for work, I went in the shower then the soap went flying and the shower went ice cold, I got out then moaned then 5 mins later the house went dark and the girl in the next room came out screaming, the lights came back on and the girl begged us to get ready in our room, it was strange.
