Every esthetician I've ever talked to has strongly discouraged me from using any type of pore strip. Apparently, there's just no way that you can't avoid at least SOME of your skin getting ripped off, even if it's not visible. And it's very unlikely that all your blackheads are chilling with part of them poking out of your pores where the strip will grab them.
I've been advised multiple times to just get a facial where they will perform extractions. It's custom, it's very precise, it's long-term, and it doesn't tear your skin. And apparently it's similar to eyebrow plucking or waxing...the more you pluck, the less hairs grow back. Apparently when you have blackheads extracted a couple of times, they come back less and less. Once a month is apparently more than enough for extractions. Though, of course, you do have to have a good skin care regimen going.
