    Default Baby Bangs?

    Anyone wearing them?

Are they easy to wear/style? I mean they look like they would just be get up and go/wash and wear hair.

I currently have longer bangs that sweep right above my eyes, but I am finding them to be a bitch to style all the time, especially since I have a cowlick.

I am even thinking about those asymmetrical baby bangs, but I don't want them if they are harder to style and deal with.

Ok I uploaded some pics since maybe nobody knows what I am talking about. Anybody think the bangs are cute? Would they be a pain to manage? What's the verdict?

I would think since they are so short I could just gel them and go. I love the way it looks with the ponytail and I wear ponytail at work all the time.

They look great on Christina, but to me they look like they'd be hard to style, and you need the right face shape for them. I'd say go for it, because even if you don't like them bangs grow fast.

You don't think they look a little dike-ish?

My hair is very long otherwise, like Christina's.

No, not really. I'm a huge fan of short hair on women though, I rocked a pixie-cut until I was 18, so my opinion may differ from mosts.

I think it looks preppy and edgy at the same time!

I've been rocking baby bangs for 4 years now, and I'm a no-fuss type (as in, I've only gotten one mani/pedi in my entire life), so yeah, the maintenance is not bad at all. I just comb mine when i get out of the shower, and let my mostly-wavy hair hair-dry. If you have a baby face/pixie look, baby bangs are the way to go!

I hate the baby bangs unless its on the right girl (point/pixie face only and even then its rare to find a girl who can pull it off). Otherwise I think it looks like you burnt her hair off or let a six year old go at them with dull scissors - just a bad, embarrassing mistake.

If you think you have a cowlick now it could be way worse after you cut them because there'll be less hair to weight it down. Could you not wear a headband during the day and style them only for work? Or just let it grow it fom sideswept bangs to create face-framing layers? My bangs are pretty low maintenance: grab a round brush right before work and blow them out a smidge.

Bingo. They are a pain in the ass.

You can't just gel them because then you've got stupid little spike bangs... mousse makes them stick to your forehead if you sweat at all... you have to find a product that will add a touch of texture without looking greasy that still allows for a bit of movement... you can't blow dry them or they get fluffy... you can't air dry them unless you have straight hair because then they turn slightly in random directions. You can't flat iron them because they won't lay right...
They're really just a huge fucking nightmare. ...at least... for MY hair type they are. LOL

Also, I agree with the above post... while they can be nice... baby bangs look COMPLETELY stupid on 90% of the girls who have them.

You mentioned you have a cowlick, I do too at my right temple and any bangs are a pain in the ass because of it. I have blunt bangs just above my eyebrows right now and they take so much work. The baby bangs I used to have took even more and drove me crazy! I hate my cowlick!

I could have sworn there was a clip in extension of just this kind of bangs. I think its a cute look to try out, not so much to live with everyday. Has anyone else seen the extensions, or did I dream that?

I think you have to be careful. It really depends on the style of the rest of your hair or I feel they look like the person with the scissors make a mistake just went overboard. The clip ins are a great idea.

I watch a series on Showtime Australia called Satisfaction (netflix ). The character Natalie has them...

Has anyone tried perming bangs straight? I like having mine, but I have to fight with them constantly....

I think long hairs look sexier than 'baby bang'. Actually, longer the better.

When you are kissing a woman and her long hair covers you, you feel like you are up in the dark cloud, far beyond the reach of any ill fate. Of course you need few strong drinks to reach this zone but boy once you are there, those hair just feel like sanctuary.

I have a friend who's a stylist and she says that short bangs only work for people with large foreheads. if you have a normal sized forehead I would stick with long bangs

They always looked a little redneck-y to me, like some kind of home-done haircut gone horribly wrong.

I have some major cowlicks, and never had a problem with baby bangs... actually they were easier to style when shorter. Just blowdry, no product, while combing in one direction and then the opposite direction. YMMV.

I think they can be super cute, and a lot of men like them as well.

Also, there's usually a clear difference between a stylist creating a asymmetrical look and a homemade haircut. I can tell them apart.

I love my bangs! I just curl them under (with an itty-bitty flat iron), comb them out, then spray them into place. The process only takes a couple of minutes.

In my opinion, baby bangs make a woman look older than she is. Longer hair makes them look younger.
