Not just strip-clubs, but any business that offends these hyper-sensitive, nutjob bullies. I'm on the email list of one or two of these radical Christian organizations. I've gotten emails calling for a boycott of a store because they posted signs saying "Happy Holidays" during the holiday season, or boycotting businesses that offer benefits to same-sex couples.

Note: I'm only referring to those organizations that do things like this, not all Christians.

    I repeat:

Never has evil battled so hard for the hearts of the youth. Whenever (low mentality/easily misled) women do religion & spirituality it is usually mixed with esoteric notions to promote another fad, book or song. Women seem to be open towards otherworldly influences for their syrupy inspiration. Only to attract an undiscerning audience that must not take much to impress or motivate them. (I am glossing over the repulsive female worship here as I am focusing my attention upon Jesus Christ)."

Sounds like a pretty fucking radical Christian to me. "repulsive female worship", my ass.

Also, the guys you are so valiantly defending--who BTW are doing all they can to shut down the stripclubs you enjoy so much--strike me as being radical, since they would put me out of work and into jail if they could. Oh and the strippers you like so much would all go to jail as well. Guess who's next?

People who want to give tax credits to rich parents who want to send their kids to religious schools, and want mythology such as Creationism taught in public schools, are definitely what I would call radical Christians.

You're doing a great job of compensating for that dubious state of affairs here.

And they are. People who find it offensive that people are offended by a song about a slightly different fairy tale should be allowed to speak out about it as well. And people such as yourself who are offended by this are also allowed to speak out about it. And people who find this offensive can reply again. This is getting boring.

Oh, BTW--nobody here deserves bad karma.

And of course I am appalled by radical Muslims as well, and would rather live here with the radical Christians.

So long as they don't put me in jail for playing music for dancers. Came very close to happening several times in Daytona, and did happen to a few DJs and managers I knew--as well as at least a hundred dancers I knew, and a lot more I didn't know.

But at least they won't cut my head off or stone me for it.

^^^I never read your link. I thought we were discussing the OP's link, which concerned itself with her lyrics being offensive to ordinary Christians and the fact that it was on FNC.

There are sects of "radical" Christians but they are small, relatively powerless, and no physical threat to anyone. You'd have no problem finding run of the mill Christians who feel they go way overboard. The radicals do not speak for Christians as a whole and are viewed warily by them as well.

The radical Christians represent little or no threat to adult entertainment as a whole but only in certain communities, not terribly different than towns that are "dry". The stripclub industry might be in a bit of trouble but not because of these clowns. A slumping economy and competition, much provided here on the internet, impact clubs bottom lines alot more.

True, but these examples are all from Europe. There is a marked difference between the way liberals and conservatives there approach certain issues compared to their American counterparts.

The American left tends to be much more politically correct and selective when race and religion are involved. Most liberal papers wouldn’t print a cartoon that mocks Islam if a gun was put to their heads. If it made fun of Christianity, they would do it in a heartbeat.

"Radical" Christians are in control of one of our two major political parties. Three years ago, a "radical" Christian was sitting in the White House.

No, they are a threat to adult entertainment. During the previous administration, when we had a "radical" Christian as our attorney general, pornographers were prosecuted and jailed for adult pornography. In Missouri, "radical" Christians are trying to shut down all of the strip clubs in the state.

Radical Christians are in control of nothing. They're out there but carry no significant clout nationally. You're just using the Obama buzzword of the moment to try and portray the radical base of his party as being more mainstream. On top of that, Bush was hardly right-wing. The last half of his Presidency, he ran so hard to the Left on Illegal immigration, prescriptions, bailouts, etc., it was disgusting.

Not on a federal level did they jail pornographers and the only one I'm aware of was Max Hardcore in (I think) FL for interstate commerce of extreme material. Here in RI, unfortunately as leftist a state as there is in the country, strip clubs are constantly coming under fire along with the AMP's. Personally, I don't think SC's should be put out of business but people should have a say in the type of businesses allowed in their neighborhoods. Honestly, I think SC's are very much a dying business anyhow. Clubs around here have seen their business decline 75% or more in the last few years.

And again in this statement of yours, you are just parroting the new word in leftist talking points, "radical", in an attempt to deflect it away from the radical behind the big desk and the leftist czars he's appointed. Obama started spouting it this week and the drones have apparently decided to try and run with it.

Bem, the radical Christians are trying to turn this country into a Christian country. There is a radical rightwing group in Illinois that has tried (and was successful in a few cases)to close down strip clubs, video stores that sold porn, etc. I was going to post the name but refuse to give them more exposure. Oh and they don't want to stop there either. These individuals hate people not like them. They hate women, especially working women, gays, minorities, Catholics, Jews, pretty much everyone not a wealthy Christian white male. And yes the Republican Party is overrun by them.

Maybe living in RI which is the most Catholic state in the country I am not as aware of it as those of you elsewhere. On top of being the most Catholic, it is also the most Democrat-controlled (go figure), so those people might as well be a million miles away.

Interestingly, Illinois is a very Catholic state too, especially Chicago, where a large percentage of people are Catholic. However, once you leave the county of Cook it gets less Catholic and more conservative Protestant. These groups are the ones causing trouble. People often blame the Catholics for these groups but its Protestants like fundamentalists who are trying to outlaw strip clubs. I had an exboyfriend who belonged to a church that would protest all these sex related companies including a lingerie store!

I understand what Lady Gaga means by Jesus is her virtue and Judas is the demon she clings to. We all are sinners so that means we all cling to the demon even though we choose Jesus as our virtue. Definition of Virtue is the behavior showing high moral standards, a quality considered morally good or desirable in a person. Synonyms: merit - chastity - goodness. The media always twists the truth to get people aroused into being upset. The media clings to the demons on dismay and destruction all for the sake of money. The media twists the truth just as the Christians twist the truths of God to appease their own sins while they point fingers at others for what they do themselves behind closed doors.

Can't a girl resurrect some Jesus threads on Easter? C'mon, it's only fitting...

I always wonder what kind of search criteria leads new posters to the long-buried threads they choose to unearth...

Odd but yes as of late there have been "new" posters bumping threads, including one poster that was bumping very old (as in 5-6 years old) threads. I will say this though and that is as I go along I am becoming more and more into religion. I was going to comment about something I said earlier (which caused someone to attack me, but luckily the post was removed)but probably best to leave that alone.

    How quaint.

I will be a War, when a Christian kids straps 12 lbs of C4 and 12d nails to his chest, and detonates it at a Lady Over Hyped concert. Until then it is noise.

Christians are tolerant and they don't react in a violent manner? Are you fucking kidding me? And what the hell does a trial attorney and a legal analyst know about this topic in the first place? SMFH.

There are tolerant and intolerant people of all religions including Christians, Muslims and yes even Atheists. In fact I am seeing far more intolerant Atheists online than any other group, though oddly in real life I know more intolerant Christians. My point is too many people attack Christians but don't realize there is intolerance behavior with all groups.

People mostly attack Christians because Christianity is the English-speaking worlds biggest, baddest religion. Of course they are going to have a huge bulls eye on them. Also, there is a huge difference between the Christian faith and the FOLLOWERS of the Christian faith...

Umm... no. People attack Christians because Christians are the self proclaimed "correct" religion that have ZERO tolerance for any other religion.

Going to have to disagree with you on this one. The penalty for preaching Christianity in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Yemen, Oman, Somalia, and quite a few Muslim countries is death. The penalty for doing so in the US, UK, France, Germany, Canada and those are proclaimed as the West is at worst to be laughed at by Atheists.

You can get away with a lot in Christian countries as evidenced by the "Shut up Jesus" cartoons. Do that with Mohammed and half of Europe is on fire.

Yes that is the mentality of the followers, not of the faith itself. What Jesus actually preached and what is practiced today are 2 completely different things.

I always find it hilarious how much hatred there is, even though Christianity, Judaism and Islam are very closely tied together by the fact they all worship the same God...

If your an organization that wants help women have control over their own bodies, rather than letting the church have control over them, you're putting yourself at risk
