    Default quitting tanning...

After alot of thought Ive decided to quit tanning. Ive tanned for quite a few years, taking some long breaks here and there. Ive done my best to take good care of my skin in other ways to keep it looking healthy and firm BUT... not getting into a big debate over skin cancer or anything like that Im stopping. I dont know if im going to spray tan because it is pretty costly and I shower sometimes 3 times a day. I cam so with the lotion and oil shows Its a must for me not to feel yucky. Im just looking for support, kinda feels like the end of an era for me haha.

Im thinking of trying the fusion proglow protein tan mist. Its really pricey but my tj maxx got a shipment in, and its literally 1/3 of the cost. its worth a shot.

Well I say good for you. Your skin will thank you.

Spray tans do add up, and since I sweat so much when I workout, I find I usually only get about three solid days of color from them unless I also use a daily moisturizer with a gradual tanner. It's a pain, but way better than having more skin cancer cut off.

Tanning is very harmful for your skin so good for you!!! Maybe try looking on Makeupalley.com in there tanning section for a good self tanner. They usually have reviews for many different products so this could help you see what works for other girls and compare to your skin and what you are looking for. I LOVE spray tans, there is a great place that is near my home that does it for $20 on Fridays, so maybe you could call around and see if any business are also offering similar deals. I unfortunately am unable to spray tan because I believe it is causing cystic acne on my face. Good Luck!

Good for you! I use self tanner, and it's not too time consuming if you get a good quality one that doesn't streak, like St. Tropez. If you shower that much, you'll definitely have to apply it more often... but once you know what you're doing, it's just like applying lotion, and waaay cheaper than spray tans.

awesome! there are so many self tanning products out there now that are great. Some tanning salons that have the spray booth have great deals so look out for those. I normally do the versa spa, and use a victoria secrets self tanning with a tint for maintence. I became obsessive with tanning beds when I lived in Long Island, bad mistake, there was noway I was ever goin to be as tanned as my husband the ex guido But thats what everyone did there. Now Im pro self tan lotion
I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring

Ask for an extra hair net and put it over your face. I have large pores on my face and the tanner beads up almost looks like freckles so i dont spray my face. I use bronzer to add color on my face.

If you're worried about skin cancer, make sure you check the EWG cosmetics database for the products you're using to make sure they don't have any known carcinogens in them. You'd probably be shocked at some of the products with carcinogens in them. I went through my makeup drawer last year and had to throw out about 15 products.
