you also gotta think about the paper trail you leave behind in camming...just cuz a site don't report it doesn't mean they wont find out. always protect your ass legally, cuz you never know when something is gonna come up and bite you in the ass.

Also...with filing taxes you have proof of income in hand when you need to rent an apt, buy a car...all that fun gainfully employed stuff people want to see when you need to prove you can afford to pay for what you want...

As I was about to post before this forum went dark, lol... the IRS has a new form (1099-K) that will have to be sent-out for those on eBay, PayPal, and other 3rd party money sites, which means "hidding" funds using online accounts like that won't be an option (but they did set the mark at $20k and 200 transaction, which manes anything under that still isn't reported... yet).
There has been talk about how strippers report tips (or IF they report them) which would be just the same as cam sites that don't send out 1099-MISC.
I say, report your income and deduct as much as you can (up to the limit).
Very true about paypal. They are now reporting because so many people were using ebay and such as a regular income and not reporting. It's funny that the government is ok with giving tax breaks and everything to the rich and big corporations, but tax people's paypal income. Damn!
Other than that I was wondering if anyone else was reporting it; I'm still somewhat new to the whole thing.
How much do people get away with not reporting before IRS starts asking Q's? A very large amount or even small amounts?

Every year its the same threads about taxes and proving income for an apartment etc.
and the simplest thing to do is keep track of what you make and file your damn taxes.
If your earning 30 to 40k you can get a lot done in life as proving yourself a self sustaining person.
