Well many of you know the Toronto/GTA scene. Too many catty girls, rampant extras and not enough money floating around.
I wasn't going to sit here and be a victim or be in the poor house and complaining.
So I got myself a "normal" (however normal you want to call a 911 dispatcher) job.
At first 2 months ago I got myself into yet another call centre (I have worked several CSR/collections rep jobs in the past) via a employment agency. While at the employment agency/call centre I took some of my free time and some of my hard earned cash and updated my CPR training (last time I did that was 4 years ago).
4 years ago I worked for a brief time as a 911 dispatcher. I quit mainly because I was under alot of pressure with school and thought I could make $$$$ stripping instead. I got my qualifications to work as a 911 dispatcher plus my university degree in psychology back then.
Now? wow... 2 weeks ago I got a call asking me to come down for an interview (they liked my resume). I dressed to impress and put my smarts on.., and they called me two days later saying I got the job!!
So anyhow I am now back to working as a 911 dispatcher. I started on Monday and had to be at work from 7am-3pm for orientation week.
The pay is good, $24/hr. Its only 20 hrs a week for now, but that's enough for me to live on.I could be bumped up to full time in 12 months from now.
I just wanted to share this with you ladies, some of you may have been wondering where I was.
Yeah I know some of you may be thinking "gee $480 is not a lot of money" but really it is the fact that it is DEPENDABLE money that makes me like it.
And I trust that most of you ladies who live in the GTA/Toronto know exactly what I am talking about when I say the clubs here are gross and money isn't that great for a clean dancer.
I still will dance (occasionally when I have the time) to make some $$$ on the side before I get offered a FT job as a dispatcher. But maybe stick more to phone and webcam stuff.

.., and they called me two days later saying I got the job!!
