I booked an appointment with a podiatrist today but am hoping someone else can share their experience. I was sitting in the movie theatre wearing a pair of uggs Sat night and noticed a tenderness when pressure was applied to the ball of my right foot. I thought maybe it was just bruised and thought not too much of it but now it's hurting when I walk and flex my toe upwards. Having constant pain in my feet terrifies me as I'm an active person. I tried researching online and believe it is either sesamoiditis, inflamation of the two little ball bones under the big toe or a sesamoid stress fracture. Unfortunately I can't find any cures for it other than custom orthotics and rest. What's a girl to do? I was off work for a week and then came back Thurs so maybe the break had something to do with it. I also started using Kerasal a few days ago to break down calluses including ones on the ball of my feet maybe the bones needed the extra cushion? Last spring the toenail on my right big toe grew out with a big crack in it and eventually fell off so I think I put more weight on that foot. I started using CVS knock off yoga toes again I will fall asleep with them on and take them off in my sleep. I had a lot of luck then with straightening my pinky and ring toes and got lazy with using them but figured I'd start up again. I used to wear the Insolia For Her insoles in my work shoes and then couldn't find them in stores so haven't had any padding in my shoes for a while. I just ordered four pairs online. These work to support your arch and bring your weight back to your heel and off the toes. I don't know why I didn't just order them like a year ago. I also saw the Dr. Jill's Double Thick Dancer Pads and ordered some of those. These go where the toes join the foot and have an open spot for the ball of the foot. Will getting a foot massage help or if I go to a chiropractor can they do anything? I'm seriously thinking about buying a pair of 3 inch high, wide clear heeled shoes for work if the pads don't help. I don't want to hear I have to wear orthotics and get cortisone injections like the websites say, I'm hoping there is some way to cure it and going to the dr to rule out any fractures. Any help is greatly appreciated!
