    Default someone stole my stuff

Ok, so last night I noticed I was missing a very cute outfit I bought a few months ago. I had tried it on last monday night, decided I didn't really want to wear it, put it back, forgot about it. Then last night, I wanted to wear it and it wasn't in my locker. So I think, OK, I must have brought it home to wear for Husband or something. I just checked, and Nope, it's not here at home.

Someone must have stolen it. Now, I bought it at Frederick's, which we don't have where I live. So I KNOW I must be one of, if not the only, girl who has it. Not too mention, all April I NEVER saw another girl with that outfit. I have a picture of me wearing the outfit.

Should I just keep my eyes open and if I see a girl wearing my clothes confront her? Or should I go to the manager (he's not a bad manager, he's backed me up when customer's have refused to pay, but since I've never had this happen IDK how he is with this kind of problem) and show him the picture and explain what happened? Should I just not do anything and count it as a loss? This has NEVER happened to me before, so I'm not sure how to handle it.

this has happened to me before. i never got my stuff back but the girl did end up getting fired.

i would go to the manager and tell him it's missing and show him the picture. the best way to put it would be "i thought i put it in my locker but maybe someone saw it on the floor and picked it up for me and forgot to give it to me". if you say "i think someone stole it" some people take that as immature and will just assume you lost it and move on... which i don't think is the right assumption but thats how most managers are.

if you see a girl wearing it, instead of confronting her, go to the manager and have him talk to her. if you confront her she will probably just accuse you of being crazy and deny deny deny. if she is confronted by a manager she will probably be more likely to tell the truth since the manager already knows its been missing for a while.

let us know how it goes and if you get it back!!

Unfortunately this happens a lot in clubs. I even had my hair straighteners nicked once (which I figured was something every girl already owned) but there's not a whole lot you can do, just lock your stuff up carefully in the future. You never know who you can trust.

Edit: I do remember a dress in Paris going missing, and a month later I spotted a new girl wearing it and it turned out my manager had found it and put it in the box of leftover clothes they lend to new girls who have nothing appropriate to wear.

Last time I found a bitch wearing my shit I didn't bother confronting her....I fucking clocked her and took my shoes right off of her. I knew they were mine because nobody else had "Hell kitty 666" stickers on them.

Of course I got fired but I didn't give a fuck.

Wow Good for you, Temp. I would'nt have had the nerve but hey, I so HATE Thievin' fucks!
Pappl., I am SO sorrythis happened to you, you're such a sweetie! I have had a couple outfits ripped off, always the ones I really liked/treasured, (& hard to replace) not necessarily the most expensive.
And yes, I think you should mention it, as suggested above.
Good luck if you want to show the pic, if I've seen anything like it, I'd try to help you find it again! Take care.

I would show the manager and keep your eyes peeled as well. I've had this happen as well, which is why I've become quite insistent about watching my items after that and taking them hom every night. However, the things I lost I never got back. Turns out one of the dancers quit right after she stole from other dancers.

I'm sorry this happened to you. You'll probably never get it back, that's for sure. What can the manager do? Haul any girl in the office and talk with her because she had the same outfit as you? Friedricks of Hollywood delivers, and if it's a really cute outfit it's not entirely unlikely that another girl could order one. Then what? She gets accused of stealing? That's what happened to me - management was convinced I took a dress from another dancer, until I pointed out the fact that I wore a L and she was an XS (you'd think that would be obvious). No matter how unlikely it sounds, various lingerie makes it way around the dressing rooms.

Chalk it up to experience, and know that you'll just be really careful from now on about putting stuff back in your locker.

If you want to be spitey and ensure that whoever stole your outfit can't wear it at that club, make up some signs that say "MISSING!" and put a big picture of the outfit right on the page. Then add the size you wore, and any other identifying aspects "Missing rhinestones around garter" or whatever. Then you'll ensure that the person who took your shit can't profit off it - no one wants to thought of as a thief. But I don't know what management would think of this.

Sorry this happened though doll. Maybe take this opportunity to buy yourself something nice and new?

Of those two options, I'd say go to the manager. Maybe both of you could keep your eyes peeled? He should be able to give you good advice-- like either he'll help you get it back, or he'll tell you to forget about it. Either way, you should let him know that this concerns you and that if stuff like this keeps happening, you'll leave. But that's in case he doesn't care. Leave that line as a last resort, and be willing to deliver.

Either way, I hope things go well for you, and that you find it! Good luck. Keep us posted.

Always add a small personal mark on it and never tell anyone about it. And always take a picture with the outfit showing the mark. It really helps with getting outfits back with less drama.

Even tho I make all my clothes I still add the mark.. Paranoid maybe.. but it saved me from drama with a bitch sleeping with the management.. He wouldn't believe a whore can sew but he believed I will call the cops and show my pretty pictures. Ok.. I'm a bitch when I'm annoyed..

If the thief is an experienced thief she'll sell it to someone at another club or only wear it when she works somewhere else. I had several of my rhinestone custom outfits stolen last year, and the thief knew they couldn't wear em back. I had several pics of me wearing it. I went to another club and saw a girl wearing it. I spoke to her and she told me who she bought it from. The girl charged her $80 for it. I had another girl steal my Ellie's chrome 811s and lie and say she bought them at Hustler in another town. Well, I called and the ones around OH,KY only sell them in 711s. I told management they spoke to her, but she repeatedly denied. They did tell me if I saw them off her feet to take them. She wouldn't take them off around me. I finally announced that she should never walk up before or after me during showtime because I would make sure she broke her ankle before she made another $ in my shoes. She left that nite after I said it and gave em back the next day saying she found her shoes in her sis' car and had thought mine were hers. I said okay, but I know it was the ankle threat.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

Well, I'm going to go in to work tonight and speak to the manager and see what he has to say. He's normally pretty fair, but since I've never had to deal with this problem before, who knows... I'll explain I left the outfit out and think someone maybe picked it up to hold for me, and show him my picture wearing it. Hopefully he'll be a bit helpful.

    Thanks girls!
