Default Love my job/Moving to Isla Margarita

Soooo Canada kinda sucks. I mean I love it here but, booooo. I'm a world traveler at heart. I wanna get the heck out of dodge and into paradise. So I've convinced my bf that we need to go live in the Caribbean. He seems to be on board.

I guess the point of this thread is to say, "I LOVE BEING A CAMGIRL!!!" because it allows me to up and move to an island paradise where work is really low paid but a 36 case of beer is $6! So I can keep making decent money instead of shitty island money and live like a queen. Where we can rent a 5 bedroom villa for $350 a month! Or buy one for 100k with a swimming pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Ladies, we have the ultimate freedom. Give us dsl Internet and we can live like royalty in some of the most beautiful and cheapest places in the world!

Starting today I have a whole new focus and motivation. Save up for a 1 or 2 week vacation so that we can experience the island and see how we like it. Then save up to buy a house in cash. (need less than $100k). Anyone can buy property there.

If we buy a big property it can be used as a rental villa! Open invitation to all the SW ladies to rent a room and come cam in paradise!!! Woot woot!!

This was my plan too! I just don't know where to move to. I was thinking somewhere in South America, or maybe Thailand.

Yes! My husband almost had to move for work when the economy crashed here. We almost up and moved into an apt in another state that I could afford on my cam earnings while he looked for a job. Luckily his job picked back up and we didn't have to move but it was nice knowing I didn't have to worry too much about making ends meet while he wasn't working.

AHHHHHHH! Hahaha. Sorry. Your positives vibes just sent me through the roof! Hahaha! For those of you that dont know about my adventurous nature. When I moved to Vancouver I - gave my job 2 weeks notice, packed my shit, and took the Greyhound bus carrying 3 duffle bags and $200 in my pocket. That's IT! The move took me two weeks from "ok I will move to Vancouver" to "getting on the bus New years eve". When I moved to England it took me two months from "fuck this I'm moving to England" to "sweet I'm on a plane (headed to my new job as an au pair)"! I have gypsy blood. I've been in the same apartment for three years now with no major changes. It's time to bounce!!!

Ladies anything is possible. I think that sometimes we forget just how far this job will take us even when we are in the bottom rung.

Yes the island has internet. It is in fact a duty free port. Duty and tax free island! Which means I can buy a Cartier watch for like 1/3 the price!!!

Ladies never forget who you are. Never forget that outside your city, state, country, hemisphere, could be a standard of living that you've only dreamed of! ESPECIALLY for you single ladies!!! Think BIG. Think HUGE!!

    Anything is possible.

Found this page which might be of use:

Having been to a couple of the islands I'd recommend looking further west in the Dutch Antilles instead. Its decidedly more expensive but I dont know if living in a collapsing country is such a nice proposition over time.

Congrats! That sounds so exciting! You should take advantage of the perks of the job...not being chained to some physical location. Just make that they have decent internet connection. I've heard depending on the country how the internet speed can be crazy slow. Don't want the internet speed to hurt your earnings.

I've thought of abandoning Canada as well for a warmer climate. If you have any info you could pass along to me, I'd super duper appreciate it. Hey, maybe we can be neighbors!

I totally feel this. Never in life should you feel trapped or obligated to stay where you are, especially if you hate it. From my personal experience, friends would prefer for me to stay in Long Island (where I hate), and where they also are miserable because they "miss me," and it was "so mean" of me to leave. Listen up, you have to live your life to the ultimate FULLEST. I will be there for my parents when they need me to take care of them later in life. For now, I want to have as much fun as possible!! I graduated college, moved to England...next month, I move to France. You can do anything you put your mind to. Just formulate a plan, buy your ticket, and PEACE OUT!!!

Thanks, but I don't just visit islands I'm actually FROM the islands. My home island is a little further north from there. And yes I have read that link already. The whole point of this is to live in the cheapest most beautiful places possible otherwise I might as well just go back to my own island ya know?

Yeah, Europe would be cool. I was also checking out Thailand but the boy was SOOO not loving that idea. I think that I've got it on lock with this one though. Beautiful island. Fresh air. Not crammed with people. He could start his own business (it's as easy as sneezing there). Temp stays around 26-30•C all year with low humidity. Houses are everything from huts to skyscrapers! No duties or taxes.... God i feel all mellow just thinking about it. I think I clinched him with the 36 case of beer for $6 though *wink* lol.

    Also thanks AfroAngel!

That's awesome Aria! My fiance & I have been talking about the exact same thing, only somewhere in Central/South America. But I hope you're still around when we move to your city later this year, it'll be cool to hang out!

Oh yeah! I'm not going anywhere any time soon. Lots of planning to do. I'm so excited to see you!

Just learned that the island has an all inclusive hotel/bordello! For $2500 you stay at an all inclusive resort AND get to pick a girl to spend the week with you. Sex work is completely legal there, no govt interference at ALL. so long as you aren't hurting ppl. (spreading aids, robbing clients blind, etc).

Nice thread. Was weighing this idea recently too. If not relocating permenantly, at least taking an extended vacation of around 6 months to somewhere tropical, then deciding from there. St. Maarten / Barts was a first choice, until finding out how expensive it can be to stay there. Been looking for an island alternative all along and Isla Margarita sounds good. Wondering how inexpensive it could be to move there? I'm impressed that you made your Vancouver move on a budget of $200, especially since it was so spontaneous, Aria! This totally motivates me...Long live the freedom of being a camgirl!
