It looks so bad! Sure do a handstand off the stage into a guys lap while your pussy is up in his face He slides $1 into the side of your thong. Woohoo! You win. Everyone else looks at you with huge open eyes (guys included), some don't know how to react so they cheer. Others just shake their head. The ones that cheer are usually young and drunk. Not the kind of guy who will take you to VIP. The other dancers look at you like you are nuts. The poor girl who has to go on after you now has to compete with what you did for little to nothing. Guys expect her to put her pussy in their face now, too! Customers would rather see you on stage, tip $1, get full on contact then buy a $20 dance. See how this starts a vicious cycle? SAD.

I say to each her own. It doesn't really bother me. I personally think that giving a mini dance from stage is too much, but only because I like to keep a little mystery which is hard enough to do in a nude club. Some girls are able to get dances directly after stage from these moves and several of them. It depends on the girl. The sleazier looking the girl and move the less guys will buy. If it's a well put together girl who is slightly flirting and simply showing her pussy as opposed to bouncing it off some guys head it tends to lead to dances. I have found that a lot of guys are embarrassed enough about sitting on tip row and some moves just make them decide never again to sit so close.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

this is why i felt the need to state my experience/opinion. i knew it wouldn't be a popular one but it existed thus i put it out there. in general, i feel that to each her own....do what you gotta do to make the money. i see girls do some weird/silly shit sometimes but then sometimes they walk out with the cash so in the end who am i to judge?? for the record-NOT an extras girl here, i don't think stage diving means this but apparently for some it does... and yes i am still new but i'm not an idiot and i make my money...and i was just saying that for me this works.

^^I appreciate you sharing your experience for that reason. I also didn't mean to insinuate that you were gross. In my experience there is a correlation between that style of stage dancing and girls who are less attractive/prone to extras, but I would never say that in order to do it a girl has to have either of those traits.

    Exactly.
Noobs always think they know everything.

Personally I prefer to shock and amaze the customers with how UNBELIEVABLY sensual I am on stage. I don't touch anyone, I don't let anyone touch me even to put money in my thong.
I get more stage money and sell more dances WHILE I'M ON STAGE (I always get at least one guy who will come ask me for a dance the second I'm off stage) than... basically everyone I work with... but somehow... despite evidence to the contrary, they still think that putting their pussy in someone's face is going to make them more money.

Yes! I am with you OP! It's amazing the changes that can occur within a club in such a short amount of time! Personally I prefer to dance at clubs with a "no contact on stage policy". Dancers can shimmy their breasts, do pole tricks and shake their booty to their hearts content, but that's it. This type of policy not only levels the playing field (no one can be "dirtier" than anyone else on stage) but also encourages guys to buy lapdances! Win win! Buttt I have also worked clubs with high mileage stage shows and I discovered that men have such a short attention span that it didn't matter if I climbed off the stage or not. By the time I got up they had already forgotten all about the chick who was on before me! Better idea than giving a mini lapdance to every dude with a dollar up is to quickly introduce yourself and try to establish some sort of rapport before moving on to your next customer. Hth!

UGH. This. I HATE going on stage after a diver. I feel like the customers get "bored" with me. Same thing with girls who do insane pole tricks, but that's a little more understandable....AND most girls I work with get pretty good tips for it, not just a dollar. But the ones who do the flip into the chair thing, ugh.... yeah. I always get "do that flip thing! do that flip thing" then I'm like "I can't!" followed by a bunch of drunk people yelling "Awww!!! that's lame" or "oh come on!!! just do it!!" or "booo" or whatever. That causes alot of negative attention and that's not good.

Many customers these days go into a strip club expecting high contact. They expect grinding and boobie touching. So if they do not see a girl allowing this on stage they will assume she does not allow this in a dance. You can have sales skills up the wazoo but if the custie thinks you are a prude ( in their mind) they are not going to buy. Having said that I think this applies to high contact areas only.
I work at a club that allows high-contact private dances. But guys can't touch us at all on stage, or during table dances. This total lack of contact is the selling point for the more expensive private dances & VIP rooms. "Well, I can give you your dance out here, it's only $15, but there's no touching or grinding or anything at all... OR we can go in the back for $30, and blahblahblah or a half-hour VIP is $300 and blahblahblah". This works because everyone follows this rule, though if you work in a club that does allow contact during stage-tipping and table dances I dunno if this applies.

I refuse to do the flip thing too. And a LOT of girls at my club will do it. I gave up saying "I can't." Now I say something along the lines of "I'm too tall (while showing them my long legs) "I tried it once and almost kicked a waitress in the face with these shoes!" It makes them laugh and draws attention to a good physical attribute.

i actually find the best way to deal with customers who expect high contact in general is to act extremely unapologetic. this includes stage contact as well as LD contact yadda yadda yadda. if you start acting apologetic, then they feel they are in the right. im a very sassy and cheeky person... usually a simple apathetic no is enough. or maybe a very very sarcastic 'ohhh im so sorry. i feel so bad for you. are you ok?' if they complain. or saying 'you were much cuter before you started whining' or something along those lines. i am not sorry that i am not going to do a stage dive and put my clothed pussy within licking distance so i am certainly not going to offer them an apology, even if it is only a quiet one. this is just what works for me personally. if your persona is sweeter than mine then i can see how an apologetic look might be the better option.

that being said i do hate going on stage after the high contact girls. usually if i can find a way off stage i take it these days. burnt out ornery stripper over here.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

I hate to admit it but, in a way, Natallia and Sammimaybelle are kind of correct. I've worked in NOLA and it's a hard and dirty playing field. For example, I tried Scarletts because a girl I knew said she made bank there. After 2 hours I could see why. Every guy, and I mean every single guy I sat with, tried to shove his hand into my crotch. One guy was practically forcing his hand through my arm blockade. When you are used to a cleaner, more respectful environment it's easy to turn your nose up at the "frisky" ways that some girls make their money. But the truth is that A) either she is doing what she feels she needs to in order to make money, or B) she is looking for the easiest, and usually the sluttiest, way to get a dance. Maybe someone should take these new girls by the hand and show them that they don't need to go that far for a dance. When I was a dancer and a guy asked me if I "did that" I would tell him that I save all my special tricks for VIP. I don't give the "bells and whistles" to everyone. Only my favorites. And I was a top seller at my club, so I'd like to think I was doing, or saying, something right.

I guess my point is that times are changing. Money is tighter and customers are looking to get all they can for their dollar. So take a newbie by the hand and show her how to make money the clean way.
