    Default HG Skincare Products

Here's my holy grail skin care products that really made dramatic changes, and I am super critical and picky... post yours!

Philosophy Purity cleanser: I was always put off by Philosophy products, I thought they were gimmicky and not all that, until I tried this one. This stuff is amazing! It's like milk on your face, and it completely dissolves your makeup, and leaves your skin so cleansed and BALANCED! Not too dry, not to hydrated, just perfect. I've tried sooo many cleansers, but none come close to this, the very first time I used it I could tell it was amazing.

The Body Shop Vitamin E moisture cream: Once again, it was one of those products that I used once and could tell a difference. I put this on at night, mixed with a Philosophy serum, and I woke up to a much better complexion. Instant gratification! It's just hydrating without being oily, just very normal and balancing, probably not good for extreme dry or oily skin, but perfect if you have normal or combination skin.

Philosophy When Hope Is Not Enough serum: I mix 3-4 drops of this each morning and night with the Body Shop vitamin E cream, and I feel like my skin drinks it up. It is completely absorbed when used alone, leaves absolutely no residue, and I feel like it has made a noticeable difference. I've been using it since February, and one bottle lasts a long time, which I love! I can notice a difference in the texture and fine lines of skin, they are so much more plumped and smoothed, my pores are smaller, my skin tone is much more even, and my face is just tighter and smoother all around.

Cosmedix Opti Crystal (formerly Eye Believe) serum: I use this on my eyelids and beneath my eyes at night, it is sooo hydrating! It's very thick and tacky, like lipgloss, and very emollient. It really helps plump your fine lines, and I even use it on my lips! You will notice changes quickly with this product!

La Vanila face sunscreen spf 40: a completely non chemical sunscreen, very mild, perfect for sensitive skin, won't burn your eyes!

Retin A: This takes forever to notice differences, and your skin will look like crap for a while, but then all of the sudden, will start to look amazing! It will completely eliminate acne, especially blackheads, clogged pores, enlarged pores. It will completely re texturize your complexion. I only use it in the winter time.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion: My absolute favorite exfoliator of all time.... I use this once a week or so on my entire face and neck, for two minutes, with light pressure, small circular motions, making sure not to press to hard but rather do it for a full two minutes. The crystals don't dissolve so you have to be careful, but this will polish your skin so well, nothing comes close... and a little bit goes a long way! I actually prefer this to the real microdermabrasion, which I've done many times.

    Ok, tell me yours!

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

Retin-A. Tore my skin up for a while, but when that stopped...It was awesome! No more acne!

Obagi. I used this along with the Retin-A, and my skin for the first time since puberty is clear! I love it!

Colorescience Illuminating Cleanser- this is a cleansing powder designed specifically for removing mineral makeup. Since I use BareMinerals as my primary foundation, this is perfect for me. It also removes other makeup really well, and it helps clear pores and gently exfoliates. It's got a tiny bit of salicylic acid in it, too, which helps with blemishes.

Josie Maran Argan Oil- very versatile, I can even use it on my hair. I've seen a significant improvement in my skin since I started using this regularly.

Cane+Austin Glycolic Acne Treatment Pads- I used ProActiv when I was a teenager, but as an adult, it dries my skin out and doesn't affect the acne at all. These exfoliate really well, and the 2% salicylic acid is gentle enough that I don't dry out, but strong enough that it makes a huge difference.

Mario Badescu Herbal Hydrating Serum- this is a gel I apply after I cleanse, exfoliate, and apply argan oil, but before I apply any other moisturizers. I use it at night prior to all my Caudalie Pulp Vitaminee products. It helps my skin absorb moisturizers better, and it also helps with my skin texture and tone.

Caudalie Pulp Vitaminee- I use several products from this line. They're very light and smell really fresh and wonderful. They're meant to be anti-aging products for those young enough to not be experiencing any wrinkles or damage yet--the line used to be called Caudalie 1st Wrinkle.
