    Default Just for the money?

I was wondering if any of y'all are stripping for the money only....... i know its a JOB and thats pretty much the main reason, but any of you only do it for the money and ignore other aspects of it, like the party atmosphere, or the thrill, or whatever?

i'm trying to get into the game. i have a 20 hrs a week job that i LOVE and pays REALLY WELL but basically sunday through thursdays i am the most bored person ever and i'm trying to move and saving money isn't easy when you have so many days off to fill your time with. I feel like this is something i would do to save to X ammount and i'll probably go back to working only 20 hrs.

i was just wondering if any of you girls were doing for the money only and if you started liking it after a bit, or on the contrary, disliking it because you didn't think it would be fun/interesting/whatever.

    thanks everyone

Well obviously my motivation is the money, the atmosphere of my club doesnt hurt, however since ive become so used to it, i become easily bored in the "real world"

Interesting question!! Makes you really think..
Because this job is so far from normal it is hard to say that it anyone could try it and find something that they lke about. I'm sure there are things about this job that some people couldn't handle. Really, you will never know until you try
It doesn't have to be all about money. I do this because I really can't imagine life without dancing. Sure, I could get a vanilla job, but I am 'killing two birds with one stone' with this job because I actually get paid to do something I would be investing alot of time and money into otherwise.
So money does end up being part of the reason after all^^

Money number 1, but it also works with me, as Im a night person, I dont like being told what to do, or when to come in. I wouldnt do well.. I can come in, in a bad mood or a good mood, not say hi to the manager or kiss ass to the employees and leave with money without being fired.

when i danced, it was only for the money. i hated the atmosphere, the drama, the tons of drugs (hey, dont mind drugs, just not at work please), the asshole guys, the mostly asshole managers, the bitchy and/or stupid girls, etc.

Pretty much money ..... but to fully explain... it's not that I dislike the other elements such as the having to get all ready part. It's just that if I had tons of money..... of course I wouldn't go to a strip club since it's hard work ( the initial thrill wast here, but it wore off quick ... I am talking like within hours quick ). I would still get hot and go to clubs sometimes but I'd go to where people were taking care of me instead of this environment where I'm putting out all this energy taking care of other people.

No, I do it for my health. I bust my ass dealing with grabby assholes, cigarette smoke and bullshit because I value my health and my sanity.

I can appreciate a good night when customers are fairly complementary and coworkers are tolerable. The money is my number one reason but it is surely difficult when money isnt what it used to be. Sometimes the money really isnt there and at that point I am wasting my time. The economic bs has crushed alot of the SC business here. Most of the time I go in with my fake happy gameface and act my way through. Problem w me is how I really feel shows through even when Im trying to fake it lol..If it sucks u can prolly read it all across my face unfortunately. But I am a stage dancer so its another game from the lapdance hustle which is the majority of SCs.

Money of course!!But...another good reason is to meet good people as far as good connections (lawyers, doctors etc).Another huge benefit is making good friends.

BlueBird : Actually, since you have a decent paying gig 20 hours a week, you'd probably like dancing a night or two a week. I have alternated between dancing part time and dancing full time and I think the part time stuff was a better fit for me because then you have an alternative source of income in case you have a few frustrating nights or just get really exhausted ( both will happen if you do this ! ) . You'll have good nights too but be prepared for feeling a little let down on the slower ones.

I wouldn't work anywhere if it wasn't for the money. Every job has it's good and bad aspects, stripping is no different in that regards to every other job I've ever done.

Absolutely ... but don't leave out the bankers, stockbrokers, politicians, corporate execs, 'family' members etc. All of these connections can potentially be very valuable at one time or another !!!

^ definitely! I have made many connections by being a dancer.
The money is definitely number 1 but I will admit that the social atmosphere is a close 2nd. Outside of work I'm a hermit. I don't go out, drink or socialize with anyone. At work, I love to socialize and get paid for it. Like someone else said though, the real world isn't as exciting anymore. I also love the feeling of being onstage (most of the time..). I was a shy and awkward kid growing up and being up there is sort of empowering

the money is why I started stripping. the job itself is why I keep stripping. the way I see it, I get paid to hang out and talk to people. if people are rude, I walk away. sometimes it gets to me, but most of the time I like it.

Money was always my motivation. Specifically, EASY MONEY- which it was when I started in 2001. Then, I got stuck seven years later after being off the grid for all that time and couldn't get hired anywhere, so it was necessity. I hated it from 2008 until I retired in 2010.

^seriously. no wonder so many ex-strippers end up working at clubs for the rest of their life either becoming bartenders or managers.

Hahaha. I am the stereotype, totally: I work bar now, and am working up into management.

Also- the titty bar feels like home. I've worked in them my entire adult life, and regular bars just seem... boring I guess.

It's 100% about the money. I don't care to strip and turn on creepy/weird guys, but it's better than most other jobs. I wouldn't give these guys the time of day if this wasn't my job.

We're supposeed top be making money? Ohhhhhh..... I thought I was looking for a husband . . . . bummer.

Actually for me its the flexibility. And like someone else said, you can walk away from anybody who annoys you excessively. Although, since I know I have that option, they dont annoy me as much as they might.

ANd, might i say, htere is a certain satisfaction to being damn good at something most women would not have a clue how to manage.

That would probably be me...I do not see myself retiring from the navy, but rather as a manager of some club (whether is just a regular bar or an SC). I mean, if I become something else besides a dancer, I don't think I will be retiring; I like working in bars way too much.

I started just for the money and I'm still dancing because I love working for myself, coming and going as I please, working as often as I like. Being in total control over my own life in every aspect.

The free time is the best thing.. I get to spend my time doing things I ENJOY doing.. pursuing my own interests as opposed to working 70 hrs a week like I did before to make the same money.

I also actually enjoy working in the club. It's always interesting, I get to chat and have fun. Of course there are shitty aspects like rude customers and such but, you can learn to make your experiences good most of the times. And, unlike other jobs.. nobody is stopping you from telling a customer how big of a douche he really is.
I like to party.. So I like my Jesus to party too.
