i recently started using mediafire and like it a lot - you can upload files up to 200mb (for the single file size) with their free option and password protect them, and they offer unlimited space and bandwidth, i think. i usually record the video with my webcam, edit it with videospin and export it in a smaller file size, and then upload it to mediafire. then i email the customers the link with the password
i am not totally sure but i don't think megaupload offers private/passworded uploads.
hope this helps.
Couple recommendations --
-Use megaupload. Fastest downloads for users w/o a subscription, no annoying captcha and free upload manager for you.
-When using winrar, set the compression method to "store". Video files and pictures have very little compression headroom, so all compressing really does is increase the time for compression and decompression.
-Use a random file name and description like "34xd3424" instead of an actual description. There are tons of web crawlers going through all the upload services. A random description will prevent your file from being indexed under common searches.
-For added security set a password under the advanced tab in winrar, but don't make it overly difficult. Alternatively you can set a password in the megaupload file manager.
This is from a customer perspective, it is kinda annoying when you pay for something and have to jump through a ton of hoops to get it.
