I'm more motivated if I'm training around the opposite sex...AND, like I said, I like watching the sweaty men with their pumped up muscles competing for my attention. It's an ego stroke and I like it. NOW, I am an ipod girl at the gym, and I'm there to work. I never turn my music off and I never talk. I just like the, shall we say, "atmosphere" of a gym with men in it.
And frankly, I don't like
most women that much, so an all-female gym sounds like hell to me. I don't think belonging to that type of gym would really cut down on the glares from other women... they are doing that because they are insecure with themselves or jealous that they aren't as hot as you

Training around a bunch of soft, middle-aged, overweight women is not going to motivate me. If you want to improve yourself or get in better shape, you need to be around people that are in better shape than you are!
But anyways, that's just my .02
