It still does not matter...a gift is a gift..and the gift giver has to pay the taxes on any amount over $13k, no matter what they look like or whether its percieved one is milking the other for anything...thats a personal choice/lifestyle/etc...which the IRS doesnt concern itself with. They only care about numbers.
Services is different altogether...a reputable company would not accept money as gift instead of payment for service, because then that would mean they dont actually have to get paid..and if someone does not pay them for services rendered, they do not have any legal repercussions, because in turn, the services they provided were actually just deeds done out of the kindness of their hearts. No business would survive on those kind of terms.
Of course I would really like to see something from the irs.gov site about this clause...I genuinely mean it..because I have searched, myself thinking that sugarbabies do have to pay some sort of tax, and thats how I came across the information I shared earlier. And that *does* make sense...no matter how rich or how poor someone is, or how pretty or ugly someone is...or how much or how little the value...a gift is a gift, not payment for services rendered which would be taxable by the person getting it.
But Ill eat my words if Im wrongWould like to see the gov link with info about this...
